Dollywood's narrow gauge steam locomotive 192 originally built for the White Pass & Yukon puts on a great show climbing steep grades and around winding curves. This is the best park train I have ridden!
Thank you, you have done an excellent job with this video which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have also visited the WP&Y so really appreciate seeing this.
@288jh Thank you so much for the updated information, very important to have. I really enjoyed this video. I have also visited the WP&Y so really appreciate seeing this video and your information.
The Tweetsie RR at Blowing Rock, NC has the No. 12 a 4-6-0 built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1920 for the East Tennessee & Western North Carolina RR out of Johnson City, TN. and a 2-8-2 from the White Pass & Yukon RR(it is similar to this locomotive). An almost sister locomotive to No 12 is located at the Huckleberry RR and Crossroads Village, Flint, MI. It was built by Baldwin in 1919 for the Alaska Engineering Commission to operate on the 3 foot gauge line out of Fairbanks to Nenana along the Tanana River until the standard gauge line could be built including the bridge over the Tanana River and into Fairbanks, AK. It's number is 152 or 2 on the Huckleberry until changed back to 152. The only major difference between the 2 4-6-0's is the drivers which are 1 inch different in diameter.
''this is a genuine steam train, if you get a coal in your eye do not try to get it out yourself come to our first aid station, make shour small children are in the middle of the train we arent responsible for any lost items, now lets take a ride on the dollywodd express''
Nice video, But there is some incorrect info here in the Discription. 192 was NOT build for the WP&Y Originally. It was built for the US Army. When the Army took over WP&Y 192 was sent there. After the war, she was SOLD to WP&Y.
I hate this it is horrible don't go on it I got burned coal in my eye and had to get my eye flushed out don't go on it unless you want to get your eye flushed out
Mary Rowell well Mary u do realize it's a genuine coal fired steam locomotive they tell u that when u get on and they also give u the warning that u might get cylinders in ur eye
Listen, IT'S A COAL POWERED PIECE OF MACHINERY. SO EXPECT SOME CINDERS IN YOUR EYE. Now stop bullying Dollywood or u r get sued for bullying such a magnifecent train.
