Make video of both automatic. Manual vs automatic is not comparable. Acceleration is more linear and power delivery is uniform in automatic and manual depends upon driver skills especially related to gear shifting

Firstly, there is no comparison between an auto and a manual transmission. Secondly, it's always the man behind the wheel that matters. Thirdly, I got a feel that the safari was being purposefully driven slower. Fourthly, the XUV has a fiber boot door while the safari is all metal. Fithly, and last but not least, I have raced with both XUV 700 and Hector/ Hector+, and none even come closer to Safari. Though it does not take anything away from the 700.
