    Nice job done at explaining!!
    I like the video so much that I subscribed you.
    Outline of how sensors work. For those who want to know.
    Sensors are input devices that continuously sends data to the microprocessor. These data is sent at a regular time intervals. And the data is converted to digital from analog so that the microprocessor can understand. This data is converted by an ADC(Analog to Digital converter). Over here the moisture sensor will send the data to the microprocessor. The microprocessor will compare this data with the stored pre set value with parameters in its database. If the reading are the same then no action is taken by the microprocessor else the signal is sent to the actuators to open the valve or close to let the water flow or stop the water. The signal has to be converted to an analog format for the actuators to understand so it is converted by an DAC ( Digital to analog converter). This way the sensor and microprocessor will maintain the water moisture in the soil.

    Why would you "advertise" something everybody knows will corrode away within a month or so? Instead of showing people how to do it right and use a capacitive moisture sensor...

      Why should i advertise this .? And everybody knows! Do you know everything.

      @@EDISON_SCIENCE_CORNER well, next time do better and show cons too. Also the dissolved Copper is toxic for living things.

      @@EDISON_SCIENCE_CORNER finally here is the explanation for your biased reporting. Capacitive Soil Moisture probes are better but still need waterproofing of the pcb. This resistive sensor you cannot waterproof without destroying function. The copper corrodes. Good sensor for 1-3 weeks tops.

    How does this sensor detects whether there is soil or not.If it is not able to detect soil then we can simply call it as a moisture sensor. Then why the name soil moisture sensor?

    • @EDISON_SCIENCE_CORNER
      @EDISON_SCIENCE_CORNER  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Call it as you wish

    • @xirsixussien7303
      @xirsixussien7303 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because it is used to detect soil moisture. You would insert such a device into soil.

      If you take a cup of water and immerse this sensor also we could able to detect moisture content.Then why it is named as soil moisture sensor that is my question.we could easily call it as a moisture sensor?@@xirsixussien7303
