Yet not everyone who owns a Confederate flag owns it for that reason but for whatever reason I defend the right to have it just as much as I defend the right of people having a Black Lives Matter banner or flag.

I have heard a few different arguments as to why people buy them. I do not believe that this flag will be forced out of public schools for quite a while and even if it does happen in the near future I don’t think America will ever forget this flag for as long as it’s name stays USA.

It's probably better that anything confederate is not displayed on public/federal land for the sake of unity. However, having a Confederate Museum at least gives southerners with a connection to the Confederacy a place to remember their heritage. Furthermore, people have the first amendment right to display the Confederate flag on their private property.
