this version is harder and sounds better than the common ultimate guitar tab
Those embellishments are makes it harder to play but at the end it's worth it to learn it

You forgot the last part. The way he plays it live is as tapped notes, 24 on the high E and 22 on the high B, using multi-finger tapping (middle finger for the E and pointer for the B), holding both notes.

The only problem I have with this intro is mainly the 5th and 6th licks cuz he plays the bass notes on top as well as the rest of the intro and it's a pain for me.
bcs of that i came here, the 7 on the E and 7-5 on g and d :D i tried it with the thumb but it's nasty
ok, i found it, there's a video by synyster gates, as he played buried alive on instagram, there you can see, he is using the middlefinger, strange, but it works best
I think the bass notes in both are a string open (a), E string fret 7 (b), E string fret 8 (c), d string open (d). At least that's how I play it. Let me know if i'm wrong though. For the last licks I use those same bass notes but instead of fret 7 and 8 on the E string I use fret 2 and 3 on the a string.
Is there a place where you post your tabs and maybe tabs for the rest of the song? So that I might print them out. Love your explanation for this song. Best I've seen so far. Wish you had a tutorial on other parts of the song. It's such a great progressive song, I want to keep going once I get to the end of this lesson. Thanks for your awesome videos!

Good lesson, I was a bit disappointed he didn’t show the baseline Syn does live for the last half of the intro, and also he didn’t show how to play those 24th fret harmonics

i always wanted to play this song when i started guitar. So to help out, when it goes */* EX 7/5 it means you slide down the fretboard from 7 to 5. Whenever you see an h it means hammer on and when you see p it means pull off. I believ these are the only ones that are in this song. GL
