I am glad to hear what you are saying. I am 52 years old I going to my 1st outdoor Event on Friday which will be at over a 100゚ in Michigan. I will keep hydrated I will bring my daughter she will be hydrated she will watch me can she is intrested in it to. So you guys keep up the great work and keep up the videos I've been following the BB Warrior for a while I just got turned on to your channel probly about a month ago so keep up the good work guys and thanks
Two of us are 60 on my team and still having a blast playing. Of course I might not keep up with some of the younger guys on the team, but still play to my strengths.
With all honesty..Just enjoy it and have a great time. By the way our oldest player is 53 y.o. and we also have people like me with ruined knees. I discovered that when you use your brain while playing you can even enhance your fitness by playing airsoft and sometimes it even eliviates your pain. HAve a good one!
This is very encouraging. I've gotten so tired of being told I'm not healthy enough for the things I want to try. I have a heart rhythm disorder and it feels like every time I get interested in a potential new hobby it gets smacked out of my hands because my heart might decide to fuck off and try to kill me. I really wasn't prepared for the reality of being disabled and its hard to deal with sometimes. it's nice to be told "you CAN do this" for once. So thanks for this on behalf of everyone who's tired of being told no because their body doesn't function flawlessly.
lemon Backhair Cool but it’s not the rush just keep yourself safe and think tactically with your team as a small kid like you could be a god flanker and hid in uncanny places, work to your powers
Ya I have been coming to learn this and have been adjusting my playing style. I have gone from heavy primary and PC down to Sniper/SMG with a Chest rig and a slower play style and I am finding I am much happier. Let the kiddos sprint back to spawn and back out. I have work the following day.
This video gives a whole different view on the airsoft sport and all the MilSim events. Whats summarised in the video and talked about makes me want to play a MilSim game when my friends will be joining the airsoft community. As i have some health issues, this video encourages me to just go out and play MilSim games even though something could happen. Videos like these have a great effect on everyone that is hesitating, so keep up the amazing work Gun Gamers!
There is a guy at my local site who uses a walking stick and has a mobility scooter for anything further than 50m. So if you are more able bodied than that you have no excuse :) Have also heard of someone using a mobility scooter full time and both these sites are outdoors.
I started playing paintball in 03 after having ACL and Medial Meniscus repair and in a leg brace. Pick a gun/play style that fits your limitations. At that time I set my gun up to be a long range sniper. I was able to just sit pick a spot and lay down and fire. Airsoft is the same way. I'm a lot older now than I was and have a lot more wrong with me physically and I can still play. As you guys said just work around your limitations and pace yourself.
I need to get in better shape. I can keep up with the young kids, but im not wearing my full battle rattle yet. Yes im that guy runnin the m60 and RUNNING with the m4 guys.
Yeah my first game I got really tired quickly. The reason why some people walk around “normally” is because getting into the tactical stance is physically tiring. Pacing yourself is the best way to play. Prepare for the game too. Our 4 man squad brings chairs, a table, a wannabe roof, and lots of water/food.
I'm glade you made this I've been playing for 4 years now I'm 61 years old this keeps me in shape , this and I do exercise for my life style I average about 8 miles a day I walking , but airsoft is so much more fun than just walking 😆
The biggest thing to think about if you're watching the video for genuine personal enquiry - if you think you're not fit enough to play airsoft then you probably should be playing. Getting out there will very quickly give you a pretty accurate picture of your physical fitness level. You will survive, you will get through it just fine but you will soon know that you need to work on some cardio to reduce heart rate and increase recovery, a bit of core work to help with carrying/holding positions or just improve strength and endurance on arms/legs etc. Playing airsoft helps you to get fitter, notice when you are improving in shape and enjoy yourself whilst doing it. Regarding physical disabilities - check with your doctor/physio first. Regardless of fitness level - plan for eventualities. Keep warm/cool/dry and make sure you have enough water, calories and meds with you to patch up when you're feeling it ;)
I'm 46 and overweight with a very bad knee. I'm able to walk for a good distance but, running is right out. Also I'm a ling time smoker. All that being said, I still plan on playing at my local fields. My hope is airsoft will help me a bit to get into shape. I just know I'm not going to keep up with the younger and in shape guys. I'm ok with that. I'll just learn to get some distance shots. Thanks for this video.
I had cancer have a full hip replacement a bad back bad knees basically all my joints are shot or on the way out and I still play from time to time obviously i can't go out to every game or handle every field but pick up games are simple if i don't play to hard and I have done a milsim and made it through
@@ehouse2326 yep 100% cancer free since i had to stop treatment back in 2015. And man people have it way worse than I do don't feel bad about "complaining" lol on the upside i got a pretty unique callsign out of it nothing like explaining to people why everyone calls you make a wish XD
