Yeah, who cares if people go to hell because God just doesn't want them? And if Christians don't have enough desire for God, I guess there's nothing they can do about that. We should pray that God perhaps changes his eternally predetermined counsel and draws them stronger. Seriously, it's all true that the freedom God has for us is about the freedom from bondage and the freedom to be who he originally intended us to be and so on. That part was described beautifully by Augustine. But it's a false dichotomy that our freedom to choose should be negated by that. There's no need for that Calvinist baggage. We are responsible for our choices, not because of some tortured logic but because they are really our choices. And just because you can't directly will yourself to have more desire for God, than you can still pray for it or strive towards it.
Freedom is when we are so ravaged in the truth…..there is no choice left. 😮❤
