I am honestly so scared of a cosmere adaptation as much as I would love to have one. I just feel like they would 100% fuck it up somehow. I have no faith in live action fantasy shows and it seems that Brandon himself would prefer to have Stormlight be a live action show like that. I personally think Stormlight can only be done justice in a high budget Avatar or Dune esque set of movies OR an animated show, with lots of episodes but a short runtime each. Those options are for completely different reasons honestly. I think movies are more well received and noticed by others than shows; but animated series are the only ones who would be able to circumvent the limited budget in tv; live action tv is just the worst of both worlds

Yes, more Yona please! A Wizard's Guide for Defensive Baking Shrek style would be so fantastic, I love the vision for that.
I would love for the Lunar Chronicles to get adapted into a TV show, since my husband's not a reader and that's one of my favorite stories. I think it would be really cool in a similar art style to Castlevania maybe?

Gosh, I asked Sanderson about a Mistborn video game way back in 2008 at a book signing. He was definitely on board and agreed that would be cool to do with the game mechanics of pushing/pulling metal! There were about half a dozen fans there and we actually ran out of things to ask him about. 😄

Yeah, there was Mistborn game by the name of "Mistborn: Birthright" on the works, but it never ended up coming out.

Interesting topic! For novels there are almost too many that deserve adaptations and haven't had them.
The Lymond Chronicles by Dorothy Dunnett are such good historical fiction books that tap into a lot of what is great about many popular fantasy books nowadays. I am shocked that no one has tried to adapt them to a series yet.
Joe Abercrombie's First Law world needs a proper adaptation starting from the beginning but I also think it would make an interesting world for a video game. It wouldn't need to directly adapt the books but could do something akin to the Witcher games, perhaps.
Celia Friedman's Coldfire trilogy would also make a good series or movie trilogy (or game), with the right tone and cast. Would love to see Tarrant in live action.
For manga (and I'll add in some Visual Novels) I'd like to see a redo of Umineko: When They Cry. An anime adaptation of the VN/manga was made before but it was pretty poor, got cancelled halfway through the story, and most fans ignore it. The series starts out a bit rough and some of the characters, including the lead, start out as pretty unlikeable but it turns into such a wonderful and complex story as it goes on. It's begging for someone to do it justice.
A continuation of Shadows House would be nice, but it hasn't been that long since it stopped, so I'm still in hope for another season.
Much less likely is a continuation of the Baccano novels, which would be a dream come true to see continue or get a reboot in some way.
I just started reading the House in Fata Morgana (a gothic VN) and Innocent (a manga set in revolutionary France). I would love to see adaptations of both but the art is so high quality that I worry they would bankrupt whatever studio took either one on. Perhaps it would be better to hope for a live action adaptation instead.
There are really too many properties to count that deserve an adaptation. I really hope more gets picked up for different kinds of adaptations, as I think at the moment (especially with movies, TV, and video games) the market is a little oversaturated with sequels, spinoffs, and remakes (not that those don't have their place too).

    I want:
An ending to the Girls' Last Tour anime adaptation
A First Law hbo series or movies. A cartoon with some sort of Tarkovsky's style could work too.
I also think Vinland Saga could be made into movies (take The Northman as an example)
Since the anime adaptation of Nichijou was such a succes, I think City (another series by the same mangaka) should be done.
A better adaptation of the manga Kingdom (Vinland Saga lvl plz)
A second season of Flying Witch
A good One Piece game (open world)
A cartoon adaptation of the Kyoshi novels
    A Yotsuba&! anime
A colored edition of Hakumei and Mikochi

I think if the same studio who made Frieren made Witch Hat, it would work out great.

OMG Daniel Greene just spoken about a Cosmere adaptation too literally in his last video! I agree with you’ll but I think Brando said he didn’t want an anime. I don’t know where he said it but I remember it. Love the idea of an Arcane style show. Mistborn will make a better video game and they have Kelsier in Fortnite

Shigurui - Death Frenzy is how I imagine Vagabond would feel like as a anime. Fights aren't flashy, its calm yet vicious and techniques are broken down so masterfully it feels like you could do it if you tried. I wish they completed the anime tho.
I know we've tried so many times and fail but Berserk needs a good anime adaptation.

Sorry but i don't think Vagabond or Berserk can be adapted to nothing, and with that i mean adapted to be a good product, you can try, but the result will be always subpar. They are wayyy to much "manga".
Stormligth i think is impossible to do justice as a movie or TV show, but a high production Anime will do the work, unfortunately anime studios will never adapt a western antasy book series, they are not popular in japan, not enough for a high value anime.
As for videogames, i have never see a game doing a good work adapting a story, you can make a game take place in known universe, but they never adapt the story well, and if they do it you can be sure the gameplay will be trash and therefore be a bad games, for me games are to different for "adaptation"

I think botb berserk and vagabond can be adapted. You might only need a bigger budget and good creative minds. I dont see how they differ from any other series except the lvl of art
