Feels like maybe this sketch demonstrates why Tim Robinson isn't allowed in the Turbo Team, as his expression of Turbo Time would be very destructive, without any safety gear in sight.

I'm guessing you're too young to remember the 84-85 "all-star" cast with Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest, and Martin Short...not to mention Chris Elliott and David Koechner a decade later. Robinson may be a moderate success now...but he was just horrible on SNL. He's definitely in the bottom 10 or so of all time...but at least he's ahead of Jerry Minor and Rob Riggle!!

I used to be one of those people who said "SNL isn't funny anymore" or "SNL isn't as funny as it used to be." Then, one day, the TH-cam algorithm starting showing me so many great SNL skits and there are tons of really funny ones. This one is easily one of my favorites.
For those that don’t know the real story: Tesh was on holiday, came up with the tune, left a message on his answering machine and finished it when he got home.

This sketch is an example of something that was perfectly curated (either prior to, or just after) the concert where he played the initial demo of the track. Absolute lightning in a bottle- it is funny for those who have no clue about the song or who John Tesh is... but then every single element of context that references this is spot on. I mean the hammers was slapstick and an element that was not as relatable- but the overall balance is just spot on.
I love that it wasn't "a lyrics first song" for 30 years, and now suddenly I can't hear this song without the lyrics.

This sketch is an example of something that was perfectly curated (either prior to, or just after) the concert where he played the initial demo of the track. Absolute lightning in a bottle- it is funny for those who have no clue about the song or who John Tesh is... but then every single element of context that references this is spot on. I mean the hammers was slapstick and an element that was not as relatable- but the overall balance is just spot on.
