It was great to watch this video - thanks for sharing it! I can totally appreciate all the hard work you all put into breaking this trail out. I followed in your footsteps, hiking your tracks on 3/29/2023. You literally paved the way for so many other hikers. Congratulations to Tom & Mike on their accomplishments!
Did this trail during winter 2023 with the 2 bushwhacks that were well worn by then. Always wondered how those that went first to establish the winter bushwhacks could figure out the right path. Thanks so much for doing that for so many of us that followed!
I have recently found this site it has become a favorite of mine. I have been going thru the posted and taking notes for future projects of my own as well as hiking for the pure enjiyment of "getting High". Thank you very much for the resources. CB Spady
Thank you for sharing this video. It made me smile. What a wonderful group of people you got to hike with. The last few years I hiked the NH48 and I found the Rocky Branch/Isolation trail to be so special. your video made me nostalgic and happy. Thanks again
I'm tired just watching but this effort amongst these hikers benefited all the rest of the hiking community. I've been wanting to get out there Thank you
Did this with the Engine Hill + IsoExpress bushwhacks thew day after those brutal -108°F windchills on Washington and I was taken aback when some of the local NH "I hike every other day" type people were complaining about the inefficiency of the bushwhacked trail that had been broken out. Can't please everyone! I think I recognize that dude in the black diamond pack. Has he been helping an older guy do a single season 48 lately? Keep running into those cats.
Okay, at 11:36 I am almost certain that that is in fact the same old timer that is doing his single season 48 with the BD pack guy. I've run into them a few times this winter! Small Whites we have here. :)
