*Yep I'm 37 & I've been a Stan since The Slim Shady LP & I love watching all these first time Eminem reactions just to see their minds get blown away it's the best part... Love Ireland too btw 🇺🇲❤️🇮🇪*
It blows my mind that a fairly new song like this is out and people still say he’s lost it, or not as good as he used to be to be. He just evolved, that what you have to do when you get older, get better.
I think most people say that because his music is less appealing audibly. I rarely see anyone say he "lost it" referring to lyrical ability. He was never so hellbent on wordplay before his return in '09. Today, that basically his sole focus, and while it's undeniably impressive, it's also at the sacrifice of making great sounding music. I have no doubt he can still flow like he did in 2002, but he's obviously choosing not to in favor of bending words and wordplay. It's his choice, but I don't disagree with people who notice it and say it's not as replayable or easy on the ears.
@@SparrowEmpire Very fair statement. It takes so much to understand exactly what he saying sometimes. But at the same time its intelligent, for me being a long time em fan it makes it replayable just for me to try and understand exactly what he is referencing or trying to paint a picture in words to. I also understand that not everyone wants to listen to music and break it down to try and understand lol. I will disagree with the "its not easy on the ears" but to each their own. people have their own artists or type of music they like and i respect that.

also when he said i "kill me" after he said "i sond like alphabet" he meant he is killing the alphabet and ABC shit meant the new rappers and he is like the whole alphabet compared to them also ABC is a alcohol shop chain and alfred Hitchcock was alcoholic its just too much bro😭
One thing about Eminem is he's not only gifted and EXTREMELY talented, but for emcees and people who LOVE lyrics, bars, cadence, entendres, etc. IT'S HELLA FUN TO HEAR HIM SPAZZZZZ ‼️‼️
Shakespeare, Byron, Mozart, Oscar Wilde. All people that were controversial as well as loved in their time. Their greatness is still widely acknowledged and studied today. Eminem is that artist of our time. People should appreciate him more. It’s very lucky to be living at the time of one of these greats and being able to witness their work first hand.
oscar wilde trial was so crazy. i've read some descriptions, he was so cynical, it's actually funny. and also, stupid great artist, stupid meaning mf incredible.
I’m a “Stan” and I feel like I listen to Kamikaze/MTBMB and (side B) more than anything else he’s ever done. He’s better then ever. Revival getting shit on was the best thing that could have happened for us.
Since you guys liked Bad Meets Evil you have to react to the Bad Meets Evil album. The first song is Welcome to Hell. It’s a play on the end of the original song when he says “see you in hell for the sequel”. They don’t take turns their bars a woven together.
Yeah, everyone needs to realize that right now, history is being made right now. LISTENING to Marshall is like someone in the past WATCHING Michaelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel's ceiling.
I saw Flawd’s face on a thumbnail one day and thought. Eh. Why not. Let’s see what he has to say. Now you two are one of my favorites. You guys crack me up. He’s so good it makes me mad. Ahahaha. Rock on you two.
Em is definitely a poetic genius. I think there is definitely a level of recognition by people who aren’t just fans of hip hop, but they don’t truly understand, because they don’t dive deep enough into his catalog to really get it. His use of the English language to convey his message is second to none. As you have pointed out many times he can rhyme anything with anything else, and he still makes it all make sense. Someday there will be literature classes studying his lyrics like there are now for Shakespeare, etc.
People seems so used listening to mediocre records, they kind of loose the ability to listen to clever and deep or just well made songs, like shitty music damaged their inner ear or something.
“Get Out Of Here Bro!” has to be on every Eminem reaction video just to solidify it. I’ll say it again, Y’all the best channel on TH-cam when it comes to breaking down Eminem bars. Aloha from Hawaii! Keep it up 🤙🏼💪🏼✨

Hey you guys are so good. I Love Bars and i am from Germany so its nice for me that you break down every single bar ❤. btw. Eminem Is the Definition of ARTist
I like that you let the verse run and enjoy it and then discuss it instead of pausing at every bar. Cause that would be a hell of a lot with Em, lmao. Great format, great chemistry.
She has developed Em ears at this point. We all do if hou listen enough Em's music. It elevates your mind to new level to look for meaning in lyrics. There is a big con of it though, the regular pop shig juat don't hit hard ever again. Non lyrical things just feel lacking.
@flawd tv I don't know if you got my comment when this video came out I think I commented back then. But she was absolutely right Valium is measured by volume also. It comes in a yellow clear liquid form which is measured by volume. (And if you know Eminem you know he knows that) 🔥
"My name is Marsh and this world I'm out of it/ Cos with all this ABC shit, I'm starting to sound like Alf a bit/ Ha! I kill me." If I'm not mistaken, the references, entendres and wordplay he is making here are: - Marsh(all) is his name - "Marsh and"/Martian is a being from another planet, an alien 👽 - Out of this world, relates to being an alien but also his level of skill is beyond anything on this planet - ABC are the first three letters of the alphabet - "Alf a bit", sounds like alphabet - Alf was an alien from Mars, I think - The show "Alf" ran on the ABC network - Alf's catchphrase was "Ha! I kill me.". How do you pack that much into just a couple of lines and make it both catchy and humorous? Genius writer and rapper.
This and "I Will" are my favorite 2 songs from this double album. That 3rd verse hurt your brains didnt it. You both looked like you needed an advil. "Whats named after the wetlands?" "His name is Marsh" "Oh yeah [facepalm]" Yep, thats the sound of a melted brain.
WTF when you break it down it's insane. Even the whole Cardi B scheme. Nobody would think to rhyme "black widow" with "attracts men though" let alone "capital". Eminem basically has unlocked a way to talk about or say anything and make it rhyme. Most rappers think "okay... Capital.... that rhymes with Impractical.... or compatible.... then I'll put a word at the end of that line to start a new rhyme pattern and switch it up on the next line" or at best will rhyme 2 words per bar. Eminem completely re-designed how raps can be written and actually sound more pleasing to the ear than basic rhymes. It's something a lot of rappers could learn how to use to improve their skills to create songs they never would otherwise. Then you add in accents and lingo into that equation and it's endless. But most just stick with the melodies and emotion behind the song which can absolutely make a great song, but if someone like Drake for instance who is known for rap can't seem to rhyme unless it's a direct rhyme.
18:25 “treat you like a step parent does to a child with red hair” There is a saying from back in the day “I’ll beat you like a red headed step child” my older brother use to say that when I was a kid 🤣
When you guys were chatting about Shakespeare that hit different thinking Em will be a Shakespeare in 100 years ... and we are living at the same time as this GOAT
The best part of Eminem's opening bars is during the ALF scheme is ".....with all this ABC sheet....", ALF came on the ABC network! lol yeah, Eminem's bars include so many layers, from the surface layer simplistic lines, to the dam near Da Vinci Code / WWII Enigma machine decipher level.
Looks up to himself like a headstand looking up at himself, head Stan hes his biggest fan, head of the stans he is the leader/ head of the stans. That one bar was a triple 😂
One more aspect of "S on my chest, like it's plural" that no reactors have caught. The S on his chest is plural because he has 3 personas. Marshall Mathers, Eminem, Slim Shady. The dude is LITERALLY plural, hence the S on his chest. The other WILD thing about the "gingerbread" scheme... Eminem mentions Redman. Eminem admits he has 1000 influences, so why did he use Redman here, specifically? Just to rhyme? nope! Redman is also a BRAND of gingerbread kits/dough you can use to make the houses at Christmas time. I promise you Em knew this and made that entire scheme a Triple. Edit: adding this on since you mentioned how poetic Em is and if great writers in history like Shakespeare were understood, acknowledged and appreciated in their time like Em is/isn't (depending on whom you talk to), and there is a funny quip from Ben Jonson who was a contemporary playwright alongside Shakespeare in the 1500s who said of Shakespeare "he flowed with that facility that sometime it was necessary he should be stopped." Basically meaning Jonson acknowledged Shakespeare was so good, so expert in his craft and so consistently amazing in his writing that (jokingly) he needed to be stopped. Em must be stopped, but he can't be. He will continue to be the Shakespeare of our time, surpassing all others, until his death.
The “red herring” line definitely means he’s the scapegoat, like he’s said in other songs. Also, the case of Eminem is so interesting because people just viewed him as basically a drug addict menace 20 years ago. Meanwhile he’s more of a sort of autistic nerd who grew up around the hood kids and thus ended up acting cool. Then he got repeatedly singled out due to the fact that he’s interesting and talented, so he has fought back against that treatment by becoming vicious. But ay any rate, his legacy is not what a lot of people expected it would become back then. Remember when he was in the ranks of Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock? He’s way more now.
Haha guys you are getting to an Eminem appreciation level where you know his toolbox and capability and start assuming there are things where there might be or not, but now you see it possible, which is a common statement about Stans and I recall even you saying it “ some Eminem fans think he is saying some really crazy shit where he is just saying something really simple “ and of course there are those type of people but everything comes from that possibility on what he is capable of
The Beautiful thing about Eminems ability and what we've witnessed thus far is, is that as magical and as special as it is he still hasn't hit his peak and he hasnt plateaued think about that for a second.
