Lax coaches are way more committed too a program after they’ve fostered it
I love lacrosse. In high school, I wanted to play football in college but had too many injuries. I eventually got into lacrosse and played at Dallas Baptist University and Washington State University. Changed my life forever!
Lacrosse is growing, it’s slowly expanding towards the west. Colleges are having lacrosse go full varsity, even schools in untraditional hotbeds. The youth lacrosse across the country is getting better, which will make the sport even better when they go through college and maybe play professional.
The level of skill on display in college and pro is insane!! The creativity is through the roof and the younger generations watching/playing will elevate it even further! I l’m absolutely loving it right now!
The West actually have a team who won the National Championship. University of Denver won it in 2015.
@@justarandominternetdude2579 very true, but Denver is still located near the middle of the country and Utah has expanded it a bit more to the west
@@Thekeegstand Prior to Utah having a program, Denver was the most western team in D1 Men’s lax. When Denver won their Natty, Utah didn’t have a varsity program yet. Utah came on the scene in 2019.
Yup I won state in high school and watched the program become a powerhouse and varsity sport

Lacrosse is an incredible sport and very undervalued
I hope hockey fans move over to lacrosse. Both NCAA semi’s went to overtime. The TV product the tournament has put out the last few years has been so good

I met Paul Rabil at a camp as a kid and he wouldn’t let me take a shot with his stick
@@bryanhartline1696I took my kids to a Rabil camp a few years ago. Dude made sure he worked with every kid individually. Ran the camp for several hours. Then sat on the bleachers for a few hours at the end and signed and took pictures with every kid/ adult that was there. Did that until pretty much everyone left. Couldn’t have been any nicer to be around.
@@oscarwinner2034 yeah he was just visiting my camp not running it. I can understand not wanting to let a 13 yr old kid use your stick and I prob shouldn’t have asked.

field lacrosse is certainly not one of the most brutal sports. its probably the softest contact sport. box lacrosse on the other hand is a very brutal sport. cross checking, slashing, body checking, fighting.

Kavanaugh family is up there for lacrosse family royalty, but the stanwicks were a whole other level. Sucks none of them are in college anymore and people now can’t see them play but 8 children who played d1 lacrosse is insane

Huge huge sport here on Long Island.Has been since the mid to late 70’s.A lot of the best players come from our Catholic and public schools.

@@shane_wallace It will never replace actual lacrosse but it helps grow the sport. I think it will be a lot like box lacrosse, especially because box is fairly similar to 6 on 6 already. Just 2 slightly different ways to play, and both are extremely fun

Did pat even see the two, two hits Chris took? The one that split his eyebrow in the semifinal, and the head hunting two minute unreleasable hit in the championship game that saw his helmet come off. Any nfl player would be out after a helmet to helmet hit like that. Wayne Gretzky said he quit because it was the toughest sport he played….
That second one was one of the most brutal hits I've ever seen in lacrosse.

Lacrosse guys I played with back in the day were tough guys playing with broken fingers concussions stitches. Good on these guys for keeping that spirit alive
Yessir wow exactly 10 years ago Duke beat ND had two players in the game w a torn acl Mcl pcl & played LSM that game. These guys play on broken legs etc. glad Kavs got a natty! Growing the game. @ThePatMcAfeeShow his show is full of a football audience but definitely would love lacrosse even a 15min highlight month would be great. The ivys are a bunch of frogs 🐸 love that ☝️
So glad lacrosse is growing . My son is a goalie here in Myrtle Beach and loves the sport. It’s just becoming more popular here and I can’t wait to see it advance . Nice to see these guys being interviewed and hearing more about lacrosse .
Maryland and Syracuse have dominated the sport for decades. Here are the Terps stats. 98 Seasons, 882 Wins, 35 Conference Titles, 28 NCAA Final Fours, 522 All-Americans, and 12 National Championships. The Orange have won 15 national championship titles. Great show love the visibility.

Mikey Powell (Powell brothers) helped put it on the map in the early 2000s. TH-cam Mikey Powell goal and you will see how big of a stud he was in college. I tried playing on a club in NC and thought it was fun as hell. Its serious in the east coast for sure! Good humble kid!
