    What is member id

      @Dhal Chand, every time you change your job, you get a new member ID linked to the UAN. As an employee, you can request a new member ID by submitting the UAN to the new employer. Once the member ID is created, it gets linked to your UAN and the new employer will credit your EPFO amount against the new member ID. The UAN will act as an umbrella for the multiple member IDs allotted to you for the different establishments you worked in.
      You can view your member ID for each establishment by logging into the EPFO Member e-Sewa Portal. After logging in, click on the ‘Service History’ option under the ‘View’ tab. The member ID for the respective establishment and the establishment ID will be displayed.

      Since you have activated your UAN, you can click on ‘Forgot Password?’ icon on the UAN member portal and reset your password by entering your UAN, name, date of birth, Aadhaar number, mobile number and new password.       Hi Tashi,
      No, PRAN and UAN are not the same. Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) is an unique number allotted to an individual (subscriber) upon registering in National Pension System (NPS) whereas UAN (Universal Account Number) is provided to the members of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) through which he/she can manage his Provident Fund (PF) accounts.

      Hi,
      You can check the PF account balance by giving a missed call on 011-229014016 from the registered mobile number. Alternatively, you can visit www.epfindia.gov.in and click on "Click here to know your EPF balance". You will be redirected to another page. Click on "Member Balance Information" and select your state and your EPFO office link. Enter your details and click submit. Hope this helped.

      Hello Masthan,
      You can either request to change the gender from UIDAI or the unified portal, wherever the data is wrong. If the data is incorrect in your Aadhaar card, you can visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Enrolment/Update Centre.
      Contact the EPFO for further information on your account details. The helpline is 1800118005, and the email address is employeefeedback@epfindia.gov.in. Hope this helped.

      @Durga Prasad, please check your date of birth on the Aadhaar card. Ensure that you have the latest Aadhaar card. You can update the date the birth on the card first and download it. Then try activating your UAN again.

      Please ensure that the details that you are providing matches with your Aadhaar/PAN card details.       1. Kindly visit EPFO’s Unified Member Portal.
      2. Login with your user ID and password.
      3. Click on ‘Manage’ menu tab and then on ‘Modify Basic Details‘ link.
      4. You can provide the correct details as per Aadhaar.

      @Anupama BS, If you want to change your mobile number, visit unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ and log in to your account. Select the ‘Contact Details’ option from the dropdown list under the ‘Manage’ tab. Select the ‘Change Mobile No.’ button. Enter the new mobile number twice in the boxes provided and click on ‘Get Authorization Pin’. An OTP will be generated and sent to the new mobile number. Enter this OTP and then select the ‘Submit’ button to get the new number updated on the EPFO website.

      Hello,
      Visit EPF Member Portal and click on “Activate UAN”. Select from any one of the following - UAN, Member ID, Aadhaar or PAN. Fill in additional details such as Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and Email ID and click on “Get Authorization PIN” An authorization PIN will be sent to the mobile number registered with EPFO. Enter this PIN and click on “Validate OTP and Activate UAN”. Your UAN will be activated and the password will be sent to your mobile number. Now you can log in to your EPF account using your UAN and password.

      you can log in immediately after activating your UAN no. you must have received sms after activation with your password.

      Funds under the pension contribution are not transferred until the establishment is exempted under the Pension Scheme. There are different cases applicable for different situations. You will have to check www.epfindia.gov.in/site_docs/PDFs/Downloads_PDFs/Instructions_Form13.pdf to see which case suits your situation, and under “What the member should do” will be the required actions that you have to undertake.       Hello Khalid,
      It is advisable to rectify the mismatch. You can do it through an online or offline process. For the offline method, you and your employer will need to submit a joint declaration.
      For the online process, the employee needs to log in to the Unified Portal website. Click on Manage, then Modify Basic Details. Enter the correct details according to your Aadhaar and click on Update Details. After you update your details, your employer will follow their process and get the mismatch rectified. Hope this helps.

      Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12-digit unique identification number generated and assigned to employees by the Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The generated UAN needs to get authenticated by the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

      1. Visit the official EPFO website epfindia.gov.in and follow this link:
      Our Services >> For Employees >> Member UAN/Online Service >> Know Your UAN (in ‘Important Links’ section)
      2. Members are required to submit IDs or Aadhaar number or PAN number
      3. Enter your personal details like your name, date of birth, mobile number, etc.
      4. Enter Captcha and click on ‘Get Authorisation Pin’
      5. The UAN number will be sent to your mobile number.

      Hi,
      Are you still not able to log in? If yes, then please file a complaint. Click on 'Register Grievance'. A new webpage will open on your computer screen. Select the capacity/status in which you are filing the complaint - PF member, EPS Pensioner, Employer or Others. Remember, the 'Others' option can be selected if you do not have the UAN/PPO number/Establishment number of your employer. Follow the instructions on the screen.

      If your documents have not been approved you can contact the EPFO's helpline - 1800 118 005 or mail them at employeefeedback@epfindia.gov.in. Once this is all done, if you raise a claim, the verification process will be done in no time and your personal KYC details will be embedded in the EPF UAN system.

      If you cannot remember the password, you can click on "Forgot Password" and follow the instructions. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile no. Enter the OTP and change the password.

When you tick the “Check Mobile No.” option, a new section opens where you have to enter the new mobile number twice. Now click on “Get Authorization Pin”. An OTP is sent to this number. Enter this OTP in the space provided and click on the “Submit” button. Your new mobile number will be updated in the EPF portal.
