I love how Jacky begins off smooth easing us into the song then Dorinda follows up with the raspiness in her voice serving us pure VOCALS & Karen finishes with her electrifying runs & belting them they finish with a little bit of “You Brought The Sunshine” with “you made, you made my day!” Mattie sholle know she taught those ladies WELL !! Thank you Moss-Clark!!
OMG! I remember this! It's from The Joan Rivers Show in 1991! I recorded this show on VHS. There were a few women who sang. Oleta Adams sang "Get Here" and a few other women sang as well. The show was dedicated to women in different genres of music. The Clark Sisters were there to represent women in the "gospel" arena.
This was the Joan Rivers show...The Clark Sisters made this appearance on there back in the Fall of 1990-1991 season of the show. Twinkie had already left the group the previous year to focus on her own ministry and family. The Clark Sisters' albums were still in heavy rotation on radio and record sales, so they kept touring as a threesome.
How could you say Jackie was your favorite you don't know a thing a baby and Karen put her heart in it as Jackie had one simple Ass verse.your simple honey Jacky did, sound good but Karen is the one, baby you don't know real thing and apparently no pun intended have a great I'm just a big Clark's is the fan and the most favorite fan, but everybody's entitled to their opinion that's just what it is
Robbie G you need to calm all the way down how you gone say you a Clark Sister fan but you putting down Jacky to uplift Karen that’s not how it work they BOTH did good and the person simply stated JACKY part was THEIR favorite if it’s not your favorite then it’s not your favorite.
(Robbie G) The fact that you would even come for her is beyond me if anything shes tge one who puts this group together SHE IS A QUEEN 👸 Dont EVER firget that thx 😊
Those white folk really working my nerves with their off clapping! SMH...Anyway, I love this song! Karen did Twinkie's part justice as we knew she would have lol.
@@Twistedchordz yes back in the day dorinda was by far the most versatile singer snd they all are very versatile but back then dorinda would sing literally al 3 parts.
Tru Karen killed, but that high note Twink did on the original was on point. Like it was put earlier, they both shine in diff. ways. My Lawd Karen!!!! That's all i can say for this one!!!
If Karen isn't tearing this song to shreads, I don't know who is! This is another song along with Wonderful Counselor and I Am Blessed that should be remade for the next project.
I remember this show. It was 90's but I think I saw it 1993. I have all ways loved the Clark Sister all are very gifted and beautiful ladies. This was one of my favorite showing I'm so glad that it is upload on here and I found it today. Wow!!!! so blessed right now as I listen to it over and over with tear and praising my Lord. Thank you Clark Sister for this video amen. My mother's favorite was You Brought the Sunshine.
I am the biggest fan of the original recording because Twinkie killed it but Karen Clark sheard!!!' You gone make me break my iPad!! Excuse my language please lord but you fucking bodied that second verse!!!!!!! Your voice is so powerful it made me rise up!!!! Karen you are one of the greatest singers ever.
Boy I'm so mad my tape got wore out playing this song - whenever "Conquerors" is reprinted - I will be gtetting my copy - thank you so much for this song - I was waiting for the high note on the tape - but the Clark Sisters do NOT disappoint! Thanks again!
That's one of the hardest CDs to fine...I have about half of it, after searching forever on the net...the songs I have are "He'll Turn Your Scars Into Stars", "Jesus Is A Love Song", "Pray for the USA", "Balm In Gilead", and "I've Got An Angel". I downloaded them LEGALLY, paid for, from a gospel site a while back...I'll see what I can find.
Dorinda's MY wife, MY baby, MY love. I'm so in love with her and she's freakin' 55 years old. And she's STILL just as pretty as she was when she was younger!!!!!! OMG I'm ........speechless when I look at her!
I LOVE this song, but I miss Twinkie on it...BUT, it was still excellent, and Karen ripped it as always. And why does Jacky look like Shirley Ceaser? LOL
#Jacky should’ve recorded a solo OR got more solos during this era. #DORINDA Whew!! PERFECT in EVERY ASPECT. AND Her #Tenor was #GODApNOINTED! Compared to ALL 5 decades of PERFECT singing we’re STILL getting from #KarenClarkSheard. Id like to think she was just warming up during this era. YET she SAAAAUUUNG!!
some of the worlds greatest singers didnt have straight teeth Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Rev.James Moore and many more but also Karen CLark Sheard @ 4:07... i guess thats wat makes their sound so unique... now i know y she had braces in the One last time vids and in her finally Karen vids
Jacky sounded so nice here
I love how Jacky begins off smooth easing us into the song then Dorinda follows up with the raspiness in her voice serving us pure VOCALS & Karen finishes with her electrifying runs & belting them they finish with a little bit of “You Brought The Sunshine” with “you made, you made my day!” Mattie sholle know she taught those ladies WELL !! Karen was in full blown worship mode here. Singing straight to God.
Dorinda got a little Karen in here in the beginning! Sing Clarks!
Jackie is so pretty!
Those white folk really working my nerves with their off clapping! SMH...Anyway, I love this song! Karen did Twinkie's part justice as we knew she would have lol.
Did I hear Dorinda switch to soprano and jacky to alto?
Yes. When Karen leads The Rose goes Soprano and Jacky does Mezzo. When Twinkie leads she does Tenor

Yesss, that whistle.
@@arlethalewis3318 wasn’t a whistle it was just her head voice
Oh God twinkie is the one and only
Twinkie killed that in the original.
I love she did soprano alto and tenor in this song i wish she would have sung the whole thing... her range is phenomenal... SANG JACKY!!!
Jacky only sang alto
They sound good wow Karen killed that solo and Jacky surprised me again. God Bless!!!
Go head y'all I hear ya Jacky
Kayla Parker began singing Tenor when Twinkie left. 💙💙

These Clark Sisters can summon The Holy Spirit among the gentiles!
The Clark Sister's are amazing and Dorinda pretty
Boy I'm so mad my tape got wore out playing this song - whenever "Conquerors" is reprinted - I will be gtetting my copy - thank you so much for this song - I was waiting for the high note on the tape - but the Clark Sisters do NOT disappoint! Thanks again!
They reach EVERYBODY because God has his anointing flowing through them...
they did bomb. but I'm surprised Karen did do the high note like Twink did in the original version on 1988
Jordan Wynne They both got the coloratura abilities
Karen is absolutely my favorite. She's so inspirational ❤
LOL I was thinking the same thing!!! Priceless!! I wonder did they understand what was going on?
Is that Dorinda on that Tenor on the later half of the video?? SHE IS EATING IT UPPPP
No that was Kayla Parker singing tenor the whole time
The clapping still triggers me!

Oh yeah I know they know how to praise. But some of those faces looked like they were confused..And I wanted to say "what's wrong? You okay?"..LOL
It was released on record, cassette tape, and CD. If I remember correctly, it was 1986.

I LOVE this song, but I miss Twinkie on it...BUT, it was still excellent, and Karen ripped it as always. And why does Jacky look like Shirley Ceaser? LOL
This song is called "The Darkest Hour"
Does anybody notice that all the Clark Sisters move the same...its so cute!
I just noticed that
Man they was gettin it! They all did good
When Karen's left foot gets to wiggling, you know what kind of performance it's gonna be. If she says: Listen! Put on your safety harness!
Thanks for all the videos you have posted TitusJackson!!
Karen always tends to knock me through the WINDOW!
she sounds great!
The lineup throws people.
Naw the actual title is "The Darkest Hour Is Just Before The Day" Its on the Conqueror album.
