I was Kate Cox, my son Kevin was a Trisomy 18 and it was horrible. I didn’t find out until I was 31 weeks so it wasn’t about an abortion ( but I’m sure the Republicans would differ) at 31 weeks I could be induced and deliver. My situation was when Row v Wade was in effect, but it was still a VERY STRESSFUL and Ugly situation. I was told if I carried to term my insurance would pay, but if I chose to be induced they would not pay anything! So not only did I get hit with devastating news, afterwards they wanted to put me on the streets with zero money. I chose to be induced at 34 weeks because of numerous other issues, I had 4 other children at home, my health was at risk during the birth. I was charged $50,000 dollars for the procedure and hospital stay. I paid the bill at $50.00 a month until it was paid. If they don’t get you one way they will get you the other way! Kate Cox, I want to give you a big hug and help you through this process. I have been there

I was Kate Cox, my son Kevin was a Trisomy 18 and it was horrible. I didn’t find out until I was 31 weeks so it wasn’t about an abortion ( but I’m sure the Republicans would differ) at 31 weeks I could be induced and deliver. My situation was when Row v Wade was in effect, but it was still a VERY STRESSFUL and Ugly situation. I was told if I carried to term my insurance would pay, but if I chose to be induced they would not pay anything! So not only did I get hit with devastating news, afterwards they wanted to put me on the streets with zero money. I chose to be induced at 34 weeks because of numerous other issues, I had 4 other children at home, my health was at risk during the birth.
I was charged $50,000 dollars for the procedure and hospital stay. I paid the bill at $50.00 a month until it was paid. If they don’t get you one way they will get you the other way! Kate Cox, I want to give you a big hug and help you through this process. I have been there
