The cemetery you were in (St. Peter's) was supposedly the inspiration for the cemetery on Sound of Music where the family hid amongst the tombstones. It's amazing how beautiful and peaceful that cemetery is. More like a garden. At Christmastime a lot of the graves have decorated Christmas trees and red lanterns adorning them.
I walked down the aisle to the The Wedding Processional from the Sound of Music . I grew up in a church with an organ and now I’m so glad I had that now
One day is not nearly enough in Salzburg ! I’ve been 4 times tmes for about 15 days. Last time we stayed at a farm apartment just outaside town. Salt mines, ice cave are just two of great day trips just outside Salzburg.
Love your videos. I was in Salzburg in November one year. The funicular was closed so we walked up to the fortress in the snow and ice. It was a lot faster coming down! 😉
Alisa, your excitement is infectious. Never really thought about Europe as a bucket list but have definitely changed my mind after watching your river cruise vlogs. I'm gonna need to really get in shape for all the walking. Thanks for all your tips.
Salzburg is one of my most favorite places to visit! Eating at the market is great. You should do the Christmas markets if you haven’t already. Mozart ‘s Balls🙊
Love your video. We visited Salzburg several years ago at Christmastime - beautiful place. Did the Sound of Music tour, stayed in the Hilton there at the north end of the gardens, toured Mozart's house, etc. Yes - the Alps are mesmerizing.
I just wanted yall to know that while watching and listening to the things you did and saw on all your videos that I felt like I was right there with you. Great job on the experience and explanations on the castles and churches and everything. Keep up the great work!
Another fantastic vlog. I really feel like I'm seeing the cities on this cruise better than if Rick Steves had done the same. You're definitely giving him a run for the money, and you are winning. Thanks for Salzburg!
When I was in Amsterdam, there was cheese for sale everywhere! They have it vacuum packed and it’s preserved so you could take it home. I tried one that had cumin in it. It was out of this world, and I loved to grade it on top of Mexican food, YUM!
I’ve been to all that area twice just on private family vacations. Such good memories need to pay another visit there when we were on the sound of music tour there was actually a wedding going on in the chapel used for the film, so that was interesting to see all the people down in the altar area for the wedding, the man was in his lederhosen outfit, and the bride and her beautiful dress. It was just lacking the music from the sound of music!
Fall in Austria is amazing wine harvest fresh wines game meat fall color apples the list goes on...Heurger wine garden cafes in Vienna....go you will thank me
You better check it flying into America with me. They took mine from me and I go every year to Germany or every other year just getting that back as the pain now they shipped it back for us.
You said it right with the "s"....Mondsee(the e is spoken like an a )! By the way...95 % of us Austrians have never seen TSOM! Its only famous at tourists!😁😁😁
My goodness! It's very interesting! By the way, I love your country like Germany and Italy also. I hope to go back next year to Salzburg. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro!!
The ‘s’ in Mondsee is pronounced as a ‘z’. See means lake. Confusing to English speakers because if you pronounce the S as in English, it sounds like a ‘sea’, when it’s a lake

Amazing trip so for in Europe 🇪🇺.
Salzburg is stunning
Love your video! So stunning! Hoping to go this year.
It's an amazing city.
The Sound of Music is my favorite movie. I would love to see these spots
The Sound of Music tour is excellent. The cemetery that she showed is where they filmed hiding out when they were fleeing.
Thank you, your vlogs are very educational .
Beautiful tours and area
Another great video! I will be going to Salzburg in a year or so, girls only! Love the funicular tips! - Coreen

We ate dessert at the Cafe Braun in Mondsee (3:36)
I’m thinking fly into Amsterdam. 2 weeks before and train to Budapest with stops along the way. Looks like 3 days in Salisbury
The man on the gold ball is the inventor of the famous chocolate ball you tried :)
just finished Amadeus, so perfect timing
My Auntie was from Salzburg but when she was 10 her parents moved to Vienna
I have so been enjoying your vvideos during this trip ... will you be doing an overall River Cruise Vs. Traditional Cruise for Europe?
Fall in Austria is amazing wine harvest fresh wines game meat fall color apples the list goes on...Heurger wine garden cafes in Vienna....go you will thank me

Importing sausage into the US may be a big no. Check the US custom site.
I remember riding the funicular in Salzburg🚠🚡💛
Where is Jason? 😂
Aww, you left out how Salzburgians truly treat people who are non-Austrian. 😂 #expatof10yrsinsalzburg #absolutelydonotmissbeingabusedbylocals
every time she says funicular you have to take a shot
Missing Jason’s input. Although enjoyable, videos not the same without him.
