Most people don't care about weather ABI stole stuff or not and really they never have cause they never cared that much that BSG had not contacted Glock or many of the other weapon manufactures to use their weapons in-game and as far as we know they still haven't. Players just want a fun game , most consumer want a good product , people buy stuff most of the time not giving a shit about if it's ethical or not. ABI is unlikely to have any troubles cause of the stealing thing it more likely to be effected by stuff like if their servers are bad on official launch , long load times , cheater outbreaks , stale late game , intrusive monetization , if BSG makes big strides to improve EFT or a combination of these things.
Exactly this, if people care at all about the "stealing" then why arent they demanding Glock, H&Kn and Colt to sue BSG for not having a legal right to use their products. Its hypocrisy at a all time level imo. Like i want to play a EFT type game as a consumer in a EFT dry market. If ABI can provide that, then ABI i will play.
@@phht0568 ABI is watered down Tarkov. On top of it being the same game essentially. You will get cheaters in ABI, just wait. Like every chinese mobile game, the pubg ripoffs, any US game ripoff remade in china, that gets filled with cheaters within a year. ALSO, you can not sue for using glock, h&kn, etc. Well you COULD, but back in 2014 EA cancelled all gun related deals for their game claiming that it was under fair use. These weapons are used in films, movies, books, etc. Games should not differ, hence why EA stopped paying license agreements on these nearly a decade ago. So yes they COULD but they WONT and they really can't, most they could do is send a cease and desist which wouldnt matter even to a US company that would bring them to court over the fair use of their products in a video game. Pretty sure that's why COD franchise had a long deal with these weapons, but also at some point had a bunch of weapons with weird awkward names.
Everything you listed that are concerns don't exist for Arena Breakout on mobile On Pc there's already faster load times Compensation for reporting cheaters you get everything back and they get ip/hard banned Late game is continuously updated with new maps and modes and weapons Monetization isn't required to play the game or enjoy it it just makes it less inconvenient Monetization has to exist if you want the game to stay alive it is a business after all I don't blame bsg for that as well even if the lead dev is an out of touch whiney idiot
On the house side I did remember Arma had one (dayz uses same asset just updated a bit). I believe its a common style of soviet house overall. But ABI's copies the exact inside basically, stairs in the middle which I don't remember DayZ or any other game ever having.

The animations are not different. They are identical just some of the animations are sped up or slowed down in certain parts but the animation itself, if you match the speeds is identical.
2) when Nikita/BSG was early developing Arena, they wanted to port it to mobile. SinceAB was developing a similar game for mobile, BSG contracted with AB and sent a lot of assets over to co-develop. I have to wonder if BSG didnt properly copyright certain animations with some of the guns. also, even though bsg may model their guns using 3d scan, textures might be from a public texture library and bsg just cant admit that they dont use 100% original textures because they have previously claimed they did everything themselves. which would make them lose even more trust with the community. The other possibility i could see is if a model dev who used to work for bsg, was brought on by AB:I and they used old textures and animations that they themselves had made for EFT. which would bypass the copyright infringement claim.
The thing you need to remember is, If BSG had any sort of a case, there would have been a stop order in place already. More than likely, all of the graphics and sounds are public access and BSG did not create them.
There are videos out there even of content creators proving how they create them, your logic is flawed and you fail to realize something... When I originally saw AB gameplay footage and didn't know about the game at that point, my first reaction was "did tarkov update their UI?", because everything was just about the same, but all items had their 3d model shown in the inventory and everything also looked so similiar

@@F1zzzy90 nikita invented it.
I believe the fact it was gonna be a spinoff. There is so much that is too similar much like how a lot of the same bugs are in arena breakout which makes me think they started with code bsg gave.
the problem with that is that this is the common way to reload each of these guns, so even if they are 1:1 the same, someone could argue "we just did a normal reloading animation like its intended for this kind of gun".
as long they dont add some fancy stuff like the un-chambering and have a nice bullet-catch animation its hard to justify plagiartism.
yea i can see all the similarities but nikita will have a hard fight getting this through copyright law.
bro there are hundreds of games featuring the AK74 for example and ppl never complained about animations being suspiciously similar before
Check out stalker gunslinger mod animations. Even with similar weapons you could make totally different animations if you can/want
@@aiirmax7800Because they were rarely similar, you could always tell which was which
The fact that the sound queues are the same is a dead giveaway
@@robbytherob people forget that BSG has an entire team behind the sound work, they recorded all the guns in real time (there is documentaries about that on YT)
so if the chinese devs did the same, their outcome would be 90% the same except for the "tweaks" each dev team would do.. same for the 3d models and their scanning (pointing towards people accusing BSG to have bought the khukuri asset instead of 3d scanning it)
the suppressed 545 ak's sounded almost exactly the same when i first heard ABI but the unsup pitch sounds a bit different, idk if its comtacs that change it or indoor/outdoor is the difference maker
Comparing both of these games to other first person shooters would add a lot more context I guarantee both dev teams were just watching YT vids on how to reload ” ___” gun as a reference for modeling their animations. Every game that posits itself as a somewhat realistic shooter will have similar animations and animation speeds
Bait used to be real
wait... are they slowing down both animations or just the AB animations? Cuz to me, when I watch people play AB it looks like the weapons reload faster imo
Isnt there different reload animations per weapon mastery level (in tarkov) ? So
Yeah ABI could've stolen these animations as well
Bro the guy who showed the ak sound literally took the wrong ak. When he showed the clip from the trailer i thought about aks-74u cause thats the ak sound not the ak he showed
Ok so... Is there another way to reload a gun like throw your magazine in the air then catch it with your hand then slap it in the gun?
I dont get how you fail to see the frame to frame 1:1 recreation of the animations or the audio qeues but pitched
Now you're clearly playing dumb...
You can't fail to see the exact same MOVEMENTS which ABI copied from EFT unless you don't have eyes
one of API's character models look exactly like the actor Jon Bernthal

On Pc there's already faster load times

Late game is continuously updated with new maps and modes and weapons
Monetization isn't required to play the game or enjoy it it just makes it less inconvenient

On the house side I did remember Arma had one (dayz uses same asset just updated a bit). I believe its a common style of soviet house overall.
But ABI's copies the exact inside basically, stairs in the middle which I don't remember DayZ or any other game ever having.
If I close my eyes and listen to a lot of ABI sound, I would think I am playing tarkov
No matter what you think about Tarkov from Nikita's actions and what not, recently...
This is unacceptable.
The fact that I can see Tencent trying to buyout Tarkov and they didn't comply so they just ripped everything from Tarkov and get hailed for it as a plausible theory is just disgusting.
Yes, the fact that people are trying to justify theft is disgusting, these are the same people that would burn another developer at the stake for asset flipping, yet here we are seeing them justifying theft simply because it fits their agenda.
DayZ is the one on the right, ARMA II is the one on the left.
Also, at this point I don't care about who copied who, so as long as the game is fun. Tarkov is not great right now, Arena Breakout is great and it's free, AND it's still in Beta so theres way more content on the way soon (Tarkov being in beta eight fucking years doesn't help)
I mean, for gun reloads in a tactical fashion for a videogame. How many times can you reload the dun differently. And there was a fair bit of differences on each. Angles, timings, hand poses. Lots of little things add up.
They may have referenced the reloads, but I think they are made from scratch.
also - shape of the walls in house is not copyrighted. if there are different textures and prop placement in it u can b sued for it. it is called referencing in art. also - i personally do think that they copypasted most of tarkov. but personally i dont care. they repaired the game this way. bsg wont sue me so im not worried, and i have great time playing abi
In my opinion,i dont really care if they stole animations and assets, for me it just comes down to the gameplay.
But i did find a lot of similarities with tarkov when i was playing the mobile version
The deal fell thru & BSG put out Arena/Tarkov without a mobile version.
But those assets were apparently still legally usable by AB.

Why is tarkov so grainy and static-y
Imagine watching someone open the door and then watch someone else. Open the door and saying all the second guy copied him. Yeah, you see how he turned the door handle to the right and pushed the door open. Yeah, copied, the first guy. A firearm just like a doorknob is a mechanical device. It only operates in a certain way. So in order to get it to function, your hands have to make certain movements. That's just fact it's not someone copying something.
By your logic, every single race car game copied the very first race caragain.
Imagine ABI deciding to make a random guy make pew noises because they cant use the sounds of an actual gun.
The thing is between Arma 2 and DayZ, is that DayZ was a mod for Arma 2 when it released. Of course its going to use the same assets because its a mod. Regarding the house.
But when it comes to the house in Tarkov and ABI, you cant say the same because they're 2 games, not a game and a mod. So its definitely weird that the house layout and shape is the exact same

The other possibility i could see is if a model dev who used to work for bsg, was brought on by AB:I and they used old textures and animations that they themselves had made for EFT. which would bypass the copyright infringement claim.
you cannot claim an animation that can be done irl by a person using that said gun are you r*tarded
The thing you need to remember is, If BSG had any sort of a case, there would have been a stop order in place already. More than likely, all of the graphics and sounds are public access and BSG did not create them.
There are videos out there even of content creators proving how they create them, your logic is flawed and you fail to realize something...
