I like the new E+E connection because it allows for pirouettes to be include in more high value connections. I do understand the devaluing of the D+E flight bonus from 0.2 to 0.1, but I wish they left it at 0.2 for a high to low bar transition into immediate low to high bar transition. For example, a Komova 2 into Pak is much easier to connect than a Pak into Shaposh 1/2. I also wish a bonus would have been added to mounts similar to the 0.2 bonus for D or higher dismounts. Something like 0.1 for a B mount and 0.2 for a C or higher mount - with no requirement that the mount be included in the 8 counting elements. That would add variety and valuable bonus points for gymnasts who do more than a glide kip or jump to high bar.
Can i just say, i’m not ready for the amount of Chow + Park’s we’re going to see! I really don’t love this code, the only thing i wanted changed from last quad was the Komova || + Pak and the connection bonus between the One Arm Pirouettes! Also, it’s crazy that a Maloney + Stalder 1/2 has the same connection bonus as a Ricna + Pak + Van Lueewen!
i agree! especially about the maloney-stalder 1/2 receiving the same connection bonus as the ricna triple series. What's worse is that insanely hard connections like the hop full + hristakieva / ezhova+shaposh 1/2 are only 0.1??? the changes made in this quad feels contradictory to the aim of encouraging diverse routines
They need to upgrade HB to LB to HB connections. I think F + D and E + E are fine, but there should be a D (from HB to LB) + D (from LB to HB). It makes no sense that low-high-low has TWICE the potential of a high-low-high connection, which is much more difficult. Inbar 1/1 + Komova II and Komova II + Bhardwaj (0.2) should NOT have more connection bonus than a Pak to Van Leeuwan (0.1).
Can someone help me out? What if you do like 4 skils in a row, how do you get the cv then? For example: Komova II + pak + chow + ginger Ling + healy + healy 1/2 + double tuck 1/1
What does “or more” mean? I’ve always wondered if it’s talking about how the second skill can be higher difficulty or the first skill. Or something else? It confuses me. Also you said D+D and then proceeded to show an E+D combo. So maybe it is the first one.
Yes it can, as long as the dismount is D or higher. The code states that C/D elements must have flight or a minimum of 1/2 turn. Since the Luo is an E skill, the requirement for C/D skills doesn't apply to it. Therefore, it can be used to gain CV through connection with other skills, like dismounts.
I'm sure gymnasts will still find ways to craft interesting and unique routines in this code, but the fact that suni's bhardwaj+maloney combination is worth less than a maloney+stalder full on the high bar just seems ridiculous to me. Or even that the maloney+geigner part of her routine is worth more CV. To my knowledge she's the only gymnast ever to do that first combination and this code did not do her justice.
Thanks, I love your videos! Especially the test part at the end
Thank you!!

The hop full finished in handstand is a lot harder than people give it credit for.
2:08 I was waiting for the "If you've got a resume like Chellsie Memmel" and then it switched 😂😭
😂
Hope this means the return of the Li Ya for the Chinese routines such a gorgeous skill. The easiest CV now will be like Inbar 1/1 + Church
Church got downgraded to a D didn’t it?
@@Matthew-jh6oh I thought only piked Jaeger and tweddle and Nabieva were
The test part is so useful. I love your videos

What is a Park skill?
@@cantor7723 i meant pak

Giant hops look so cool. Unfortunately no one does them nowadays. Not worth the risk, I guess

Ling + healy + healy 1/2 + double tuck 1/1
Second one is .4 bonus me thinks - E + E {+.1} + E + D {.1} + {.2} D or more dismount.
Does D+D still get 0.1 if the first one is flight (a transition) and the second one is something like a toe on full?
What does “or more” mean? I’ve always wondered if it’s talking about how the second skill can be higher difficulty or the first skill. Or something else? It confuses me.

Can luo + dismount gain bonus? Luo doesn’t have turn and is not a flight skill
