Nice! I must admit that for a second, I was confused as to why you were on the wrong side of the road! 🤣 Unfortunately, there are inconsiderate people all over the world, I guess. Always a good chance of running into them on public land and public campgrounds! Nice video. I've recently fallen into the rabbit hole of CT125 videos and it really has me considering biting the bullet on one. I just have too many hobbies already! My wife would die if I brought in another one! 😏
They're hideously overpriced for what they are, but they're a lot of fun, and if you've got the $$$ and the space in the shed then go for it. I sold mine recently when I came to the conclusion that 4 vehicles for one person, in the one shed, was too many.
@@WildStuff Yeah, plenty of room in the shed, next to my 14 bicycles, 3 canoes, 5 kayaks, a teardrop camper, and my podcast studio. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂 Like I said earlier, just too many hobbies already. 😂
For a second there I forgot you were not in the states and I was really worried about you being on the wrong side ofthe road. Ride safe! And watch out for the neighbors.
Australia seems like such a cool place. Maybe someday I will pack up my ct110 and have it shipped from here in the US to there and ride for a week. No main roads for me though! Peoples driving is surely a death sentence.
There's a strong market for used CT110s and 90s here in Australia, although some of the asking prices lately are getting ridiculous. And yes Aussie drivers have a reputation, so I try to keep away from heavy traffic and highways on my CT125. I use it for grocery store runs and camping trips.
@Wild Stuff I have a vintage AMC/Jeep I modified that I drive daily. My ct110 needs restoring which I'll do over this winter. Then get my motorcycle license in the spring. I have one of those bike holders that attach to the hitch of my jeep so I can take it on my many adventures. That way I'm safe in my green box for the highways amd then can use the bike on the roads less traveled after I pitch a tent somewhere. You seem to have a fun thing going, all the best to you!
Yes, it has an electric push-button start as well as a backup kickstart. A friend also showed me how to push-start it too. Pretty sure I'm all set for the apocalypse now.... unless it's a hoard of angry shouting zombies.
A picture of their big 4x4 and tents was in my original cut of the video, but decided to leave it out so my video didn't come across as a "name and shame" type of video - I hope to never encounter these people ever again. The camera that appears to be following me is a GoPro Max which films a complete 360 degree spherical 5.6K video in every direction, and allows you to trim out the parts you want in post-processing, including the ability to have a 1080p frame follow you around as you move. Essentially it's "shoot first, frame later". A couple of videos ago on my channel you'll see a 360 video me riding around Lostock Dam - that will give you an idea of the original format before you trim out the parts that you want.
I watch all your content, it’s great… I don’t think having a quiet word with your neighbours would have achieved anything, very tolerant of u… Ru still with the facebook group Let’s Ride? Regards & Happy 2023
The most feared of all bush creatures, worse than the drop bear and bunyip combined. The Aussie bogan camper. It is said they lack the ability to realise that anyone else is around them, or to care. Shame your great little mid week camp was ruined by these twits. I think you made the right call in not engaging with them for your own safety. Otherwise, another highly enjoyable video. Thanks Steve and Happy New Years to you!
Great video and a great spot , u would of thought u would of had a nice quiet night during the week . Its a big place the Wattigans , sometimes you don't see anybody up there. Is there any reason u chose the Gopro 360 over the insta 360x
At the time I got the GoPro Max I don't think I had even heard of the Insta360 line. Their recent X3 does look like the most appealing option if I was to ever upgrade though.
Mate that was very entertaining and the footage was superb. Such a pity those bogans spoiled it. It sounded like there may have been children involved as well which is sad. Tell me what type of stove was that and where did you get it. It is an amazing piece of kit. Anyway safe travels and have a great New Year.
That was the 5 inch folding firebox stove. I ordered directly from them at fireboxstove dot com, but I've seen the occasional online reseller stock them too.
Omg!! Wtf was with that family? I've had some pretty bad experiences at the Pines too. One night I got in my car with my kids, left the tent there, and went home back to the coast. Came back 2 days later and packed up my tent.
Most of the time camping sucks. I'm lucky to live in a good neighborhood where I can enjoy my yard and have a campfire any time I want. There is no hope for humanity.
Never experienced a neighboring camp that was this dysfunctional, I've camped all over I've camped surrounded by an AA conference they were quiet and polite, I've camped next to Air Stream club they sang camp fire songs and sounded like angels, I've never heard such a bunch of inconsiderate big mouths in my entire life.
Reminds me of a time we stayed at a sort or resort. Supporters of an English soccer club rocked up, and we were a bit wary, but then we saw they they also had kids, so thought, oh well, there must be some reasonable adults there. How wrong we were we. Shouting and making a hell of a racket way into the night. My wife rang reception to complain, as did many others, and they went down to ask them to be quiet. That lasted about 10 minutes, but it started up again. More complaints to management who offerred affected guests alternative accommodsation, but this was now into the early morming, so we thought stuff it, why should all the other families have to move. Next, security attended and again they were quiet for about a short period but started up again. Eventually, the police rocked up and kicked them out. By now it was about 3 oclock. I actually thought that adults with kids would show some sort of respect to others if nothing more than as an exampe to their children. God knows what attitude those kids are going to grow up with. I feel your frustration.
@@WildStuff that's a fair point, I once took out the wing mirror of a Transit van who deliberately cut me up on my Honda 125. The van soon caught me up but as it was being driven by nothing more than an angry little man the consequences were nothing more than further entertainment for myself.
@@WildStuff sadly not, it was a few years back now (guessing around 2012-13 when cameras were less common), I've got a helmet camera now but rarely use it although back then I commuted solely by motorcycle and used to come across situations like this often whereas now I mostly drive as the kids need taking to school and nusary so my motorcycle riding is mostly leisure and I'm generally more laid back haha.
Really well made video. I'm thinking that family left home too late/got lost and got to the campsite too late and had to set up a tent and beds with kids (by the sounds of it). That's why I am proud to be child free. Wish I could have the courage to do bike camping.
Child free is definitely the way to be, though it wasn't the kid that started this one - several adult males were screaming something hysterical at each other long before I decided to start recording.
Great video, been waiting to see this one. What a rotten night fella, I probably would've pulled up and headed off. Great set up and that looked like a good feed indeed! Looking forward in seeing what the new year brings!

@Wild Stuff hahaha oh well it's so good seeing you in your element...
Great video. I was hoping for a pan of the culprits the next am. How do you get you cameras to follow you when you drive by?

It does look good , I might have to do some more homework on it before I decide.
That turkey looked rather more appetising than the Pot Noodles. Impressed with the bike though. Jealous of those empty roads.
Good video, think i'd have maybe done a few laps around their campsite EARLY in the morning before heading off. Maybe about 5 laps.
Like your story telling at the start , did I miss the drone footage? Keep it up , it makes me want to get out and film more adventures
Cheers Brett. No drone footage in this one - my drone has been very busy collecting dust on my shelf. I don't think I've flown it since 2020.

Not all of the animals are in the jungle 😂
What road are you on at 11m15sec or so. It looks familiar
That's Martinsville Hill Road / Watagan Road, which heads down from the mountains into Martinsville.

They were just bogans that had driven up from Sisterfucksville (Cessnock) mate!
That’s quite mild for them as that is their idea of normal behaviour!
Did you change your sprockets to get up to ~90km/h? Or just fang it? :P
It's all fully stock. In 90 or 100 zones it's a case of pinning the throttle and hoping for the best.

Inconsiderate *&*^(( wouldn't you just like having them next door 24/7, not, great clip mate
I think I would have made a point of punching their wing mirrors on departure or possibly even lobbing a few rocks in the night.
Many ideas like that crossed my mind but the idea of trying to outrun a psychopath in a Nissan Patrol on my little postie bike wasn't very appealing.
