You can run wire to the courtesy light on the bottom of the door panel. Just connect the correct polarity and it will turn on when that light turns on typically at night.
It can be done using the OEM harness. With the Aftermarket connector you get with the mirror cover, you have to cut the wires off of the smal whiteish 2 pin block connector off. Then on the main harness thats used with the actual mirror which goes into the door module, you need to use the wires thatgo into white connector block. The 2 cables that need the wires to go into the white block go into pin 5 and 6. The are diagonally across from one another so 1 pin goes into the top row on the last pin in the right. The other would then go into the bottom row on the first pin in the far left of the block connector. Thats how they were wired up on my cars original mirrors from pre-facelift model. If you have the button feature, you should be a plug n play by using the button. The only thing that needs to be coded is if you lock the car, the mirrors fold in n fold out when you unlock.
I'm down with the facelift mirrors because they are a factory w211 part, not a fan of using arrow indicators on a vehicle that never had them, also look better colour coded because 960 night edition mirrors never existed on w211
