@@bobochan4699 yea I think is the current engines My 2005 corolla sounds different But the lineup of 1.5 engines now sound pretty bad My friends 4at Myvi My Veloz Same engine same sound. The sound the engine produces just not nice The 1.8 corolla when I rev it sounds buttery, but at higher rev like 4 onwards start to sound not nice dy
Car sounds funny n it seems bouncing all over but then again its a compact car so acceptable. The system daihatsu used is i think same as the Nissan note. Small battery only act as a short term storage for the car engine electric generator to power the electric motor. It seems all the Japanese car companies are reluctant to go EV as the profit margin is way lower coupled with the huge reduction in maintenance needed is bad for business.
That's why Perodua testing these 500 units in Malaysia, they are collecting the data and do a best adjustment for localize road conditions and Malaysians drivers style!
Could it be the engine is driving the large alternator and directly running the motors instead prioritizing the battery charge which explains why the battery still remains at two bars during high load?
The system manages the battery: so there is always enough battery. Going up the mountain was a good test of the car capabilities, including the battery

My k3 kelisa with dino 4AT didnt make have that sound even at 5k rpm, i guess it's the combination of cvt n 3 potter engine

Perodua need to start selling this hybrid powertrain QUICK. Totally gonna be a game changer if priced right.

Since 170 torque and fully electric drive, isn't that mean we no need to worry about speed momentum and rpm while doing hill climb?
With any car, no matter what power, speed and momentum play a part. 170 Nm is not a big number, but good for this size and category of vehicle.
