I listened with bated breath, afraid to miss every word, every sound, just goosebumps from the voice of Diana and Ivan. It was an improvisation - neither Diana nor Ivan (they were guests at Alexey's concert) were ready for Alexey Vorobyov to ask them to perform this song, it was easier for Ivan - he recently performed it at the "Mask Show" as a caterpillar. Alexey Vorobyov (the author of the music based on the words of R. Rozhdestvensky) admitted in an interview - "it's always difficult for me to sing it myself, tears immediately appear in my eyes." Although this is a sad romance, but listening to it leaves a very warm feeling in my soul, as if this question is being asked by a dear person who cares about you. What I get from watching duets with Diana is that these guys really go for it, they rise up their performance... to basically meet Diana at a mellow cruise. You can tell she's usually holding herself back because her voice is so powerful it's easy for her to drown out the guy next to her, and she's usually able to go lower too. Singing with her must be a daunting task for any other artist. Lara Fabian is powerful like this too, she can easily outstage almost anyone next to her also. To hang with Diana you really need the Tom Jones´ of this world. Ivan did a good job though, great tone, good power. But it's hard to match up with a siren.

When Robert died, his wife (she was friends with Alexei Vorobyov, singer, composer. This is his concert) asked Alexei to write a song to these verses in memory of her husband. Alexey wrote the music, but she did not hear it, she left too. Only their daughter is listening to this song now.
