Hello friends! I am very happy to present you with the first of two installments of this calming classic. The video part of the recording features the drawings from the original book. Versions with and without the sound of gentle rain are available. Hope this helps you unwind for a while! Till soon, Marcus
When I was in high school, I struggled with panic attacks almost every night. I would spend hours just trying to get to sleep. I went to therapy, got on medication, took every step I could, and while I knew I was getting better, I was still devastated that I couldn’t do something as go to sleep. One night, my mom came into my room and very shyly offered me a book that she always read when she had panic attacks: Winnie the Pooh. She explained that it would always help her get to sleep, and my Dad still sometimes reads it to her on bad nights. I gave it a go, and she was right! It always calmed me down instantly. I used it for years, but I eventually gave her book back so she could continue using it. Lately, I’ve been having trouble sleeping again, so I gave it a shot and googled readings of Winnie the Pooh, and here you are! It felt like I was in high school again. Long story short, thank you for giving me a very restful, peaceful night of sleep. You’ve given me my comfort book back.
Dear Morgan. Thank you for sharing your experience. I found it really touching. I am so glad that my narration of Winnie the Pooh is helpful to you. Thank you for your kind words, Marcus
Thank you for doing this 😊 im a 42 year old mom of 3 and struggle to fallasleep at night, right now its 4:27am and i havent slept yet. I usally fall asleep to the berenstain bears cartoon with my phone off as it will still playfor me, little bear or franklin lol. Its one way my anxiety and brain shuts down.
Thank you for your comment! I am so sorry that you have trouble sleeping, and am happy that you found my narration of Winnie the Pooh helpful. My more recent "Sleep Stories" also have a ~7 minutes relaxing meditation before the stories, if that is something that might work for you. I hope that the content of this channel will help you drift to sleep. I aim to publish a new sleep story every week. Best Wishes to you, Marcus 😊
Thanks so much Jarod! The next book of Winnie the Pooh will be released into the public domain in January of 2024. I will narrate that as soon as it is available. 😊 Best wishes, Marcus
I had drawn Winnie the Pooh but never heard the full story. So wonderful to relax this evening and begin listening to full story, spread out of course. Your reading transports me into the story. Thank you so much my friend.
Hi Marcus I have listened to both these beautifully read books at least three times- possibly I’ve lost count. Would you ever consider reading The Wind in the Willows? Wishing you well 💫
Thanks so much Anya! Absolutely, and what a great suggestion! I am reading two shorter stories every week and then also a chapter from a chapter book that listeners have chosen. I have promised my listeners in a poll I conducted a while ago that I will read “The Count of Monte Cristo” after I am done with “Siddhartha”. I will put “The Wind in the Willows” on the chapter book list. I might also just do a “special edition” reading and record it all in one session… we’ll see. All this is to say: Yes, it is in the works. 😄👍. Thanks for the suggestion!! Marcus
