@@deepseaygo250 all good. I was playing some games yesterday and looking at my end board vs what my opponent can do. I may have missed it but any reason to cut Triana? It's not a starter but it is an extender and even if you open it you can easily recycle it with King on top of it giving you better grind game I guess just to maximize starters but it feels like you play a lot already
@ookamigenji-pv2st yes, we play alot of starters and Triana can typically be a playable card. There are some things to consider though when decoding to play it. 1st - Triana is not a water nor a mermail/atlantean, so we can't use Triana to start playing and is a dead card until we have already established a line. 2nd - if we r not running megalo, how r we getting trianna early game where it matters through a board. Outside of megalo, it's an end board recovery piece tht we don't get til we went full combo, typically lacking in value if we play it on the first turn. I think Triana is alittle better if u wanna go the poseidra route turn 1 to get ur second toad. Final notes are if my deck had cards tht weren't non-egine or playable water cards, then I dont wanna risk playing it, based on the power level of wht the card provides
Absolutely love the list, cuz ive been playing waters for a couple of locals, and the only issue i had was consistency but couldnt test to improve the list cuz of time, now j will copy your list. What u think about 43 card with 3 fuwaloss? And also i think 3 nib are better then droll, u hit every deck with nib rn...
@federicoguerini9014 nib just does not like me so I personally don't go for it but respect it as a viable option. I'm actually moving to trying some different non engine ratios while keeping deck at 40. Main 5 chamries, called by, droplets and impulse
@deepseaygo250 yeah i can see that, im playing nib cuz i dont own any charmy atm. the problem with impulse is ryzeol otherwise is completely broken. But in a bigger tournament, where u expect a lot of ryzeol maybe impulse in not mainable, idk
@federicoguerini9014 I'm have loss matches cus i had impulse vs ryzeal before. I am testing it again cus hitting eclipse is huge and if u open blue charmy, u can hit ice with impulse and force extra draws. Once u get droplet it's almost gg from there. But yeah impulse is a maybe but it's mainly there in lieu of droll for mitsurgi which is a very scary deck
@matthewcollins9690 umm good question. Honestly, I looked at ash and droll as puts available... other then tht depending on the hand u can just go for it. Ull in my first feature I let my opponent draw to 15 in hand. Worked out lol. But also u can go for lacia with prince in hand and u have poseidra spin plus infantry pop, as separate interrupts
try heat wave next time! If they drop shifter on you, you just can activate heat wave and turn skip back and otk with poseidra (they usually set cards to try to interrupt you on the crackback) this way you can cut crossout+shifter on side
I like heatwave as tech but how many handtraps are people shotgunning standby vs us? I guess if you also pair it with TTThrust it makes for a more consistent strategy. Only worry is if they sandbag purulia/fuwalos you end up looking a bit silly
@@ookamigenji-pv2st the thing is you only need heat wave to work once in a match, usually they are gonna drop shifter in standby because mermail can start pitching from cost and access to shrine
@@juanmanuelabregu1083 unless you are playing around talents i feel like standby is premature (you force them to commit a play and then turn skip them if you wait). i dont play shifter decks though so you might be correct
Yo have you tried domain format? I tried it for the first time the other day and water seems really strong. Got out king neptabyss, aegrine, toad, and kragen and honestly only pumped the brakes because i went first and didn't wanna take 20 minutes. I dont really know how to stop orcust so i lost but it was fun
@deepseaygo250 literally just MTG commander if you know what that is. 4 players, singelton, no ban list, 60 card main deck, 15 ex, 1 Domain Master that starts on the board. Domain Master determines what cards you can play. They all have to be in the DMs Domain, which includes attribute, type, archetype and some other mechanics i think. So my DM is Neptabyss, so I can play any water or any sea serpent. You can normal/special from DM zone (but not activate effects). Once DM leaves the field and theres an open game state, you have the option to send DM back to its DM spot or leave it in GY/Banish. So my neptabyss goes back to the DM zone after i use his GY effect, and on the next turn I can normal summon him again. You can literally normal summon neptabyss every turn 🤑. But each DM normal summon costs 500 more LP. So first is free, second costs 500, 3rd costs 1000. There's a Discord with rules and rooms for remote/ simulator play
It was the glutunous baby croc lvl 3 fish tuner. the was the fish target i wanted to play but couldnt. At this point im considerin other options like tidal and eria
Both are good choices. If I may make a suggestion, you could run abyss-sphere as well. I’m using it in my build since you can set it off of Abysstrite, and doing so actually triggers king neptabyss to get one of the equip spells, like mizuchi. It does mean that she only buffs your monsters by 300 instead of 600, but it’s a way to summon abysspike on your opponents turn, giving you another way to pitch neptabyss or infantry
No, unfortunately I am not.. but I do believe Coalacanth is pretty mandatory. This card can be cut how ever if you feel drollwill not be highly represented at ur locals or regional events
I dont play water but i am a water fan. I think the statue play with dona in the extra is super cool and i may actually try it in Crystron since i am siding Min to look at their hands. I also think with unicorn in so many decks it may be worth doubling up on those cards you need to push through the field. Theres also a level 3 fish tuner that looks like a dolphin that is summonable off ancient Id highly suggest playing if you want to add a smaller body to summon off him!
I was actually looking for tht card as tht would have taken the place of one for one most likely. Im now at a point where I dont think it is necessary to play him. Hes not bad but i think i found different cards tht provide easier access to statue
I search/ summon it of of prima donna eff to target a banished card my opp controls, put it back in there hand then special a water. Even if u give them back there nib, they cant special it
@Bryan-yj8yj dude, I was trying i swear lol! My only issue with sentry was all the test hands I could get sentry I'd also could get minstrel and the banish is there choice which is kinda yikes...
@ I think your win condition you wanna get it through engine and not hope to draw it. 1 minstrel, 1 sentry, 1 moulin gives you actually better hands, an option to get to statue through another route, and still have 1 card combos with prince thats gets you moulin AND statue! Moulin is too powerful to drop imo. I wouldnt count statue as a brick
Maliss, but more so shifter is a definite problem that I havent totally decided how i want to approach yet. Unfortunate vs ryzeal, sometimes its out of ur control, but i recommend reflecting one what ur options could have been whether in the technical play or deck building process and to translate tht to further success in the future. Good luck! Nothing sparks growth and success like a loss. Thrive in your defeats to appreciate ur wins
The only reliable way to address Dweller are Droplets (still vulnerable to Solemn Judgment, i guess) and XyZ Encore. You're never going to keep Ryzeal off at least one Xyz especially with the limited non-engine slot in this deck. It doesn't help that because Mitsurugi is popular, people are maining more Drolls and also blinding Dweller. You can't really do anything about the Droll in game 1, but I see people disrespect Dweller a LOT when they are aware that this turns off pretty much like 80% of this deck's ability to play. Honestly most deck profile i see just want to highroll your opponent playing very little nonengine or completely forego going second in main and/or side. I don't see how people play this deck without One for One and Small Worlds and just pray they either open their 3 of Nepta, or hope their two card combo involving a Dragoon/Squad pitch resolves. Every going first game I lose, it's because I didn't open Neptabyss in some capacity, and then I look at numerous profiles telling me you don't need one4one or SW and it'll be alright, you'll get to Neptabyss and it's just crazy.
@schnorra8143 actually it checks for droll, then checks for nib. Obviously ur not just playing with prince. I have multiple lines of combo and u need to know when to pivot.
I still like deep sea diva to guitar. Banish top of their deck to have a banish target, synchro to primadonna than go to statue. :p most of Atlanteans can special summon themselves, plus reviving heavy with merincess gives you the extra normal for deep sea diva. Most games I tend to banish 6 cards from the top of their deck 😂 my fav combo
@@Llamakiller thts actually pretty good! I was looking at guitar the other day! I think if I played 1-2 pike and no deepseaking I'd further consider. Just alot of normal summons
I know, i know, but i just never really saw him as the preferred option due to the amount bricks we had to play and I feel like the line to get him out is the most free its ever been and we have the proper cards to support him now. But yes, ignored him and now im summoning him for game after letting my opp draw 12 cards lol!
It is still not a preferred option btw, the standard Mermail combo should let you close the game without issue and with close to zero bricks, you never need statue.
@@Al-tanin Yes, i agree this list was not the solved list but a step in the right direction i believe in terms of deck size and engine to non engine ratios. In regards to standard line just winning anyways, ur totally right, u should just win. I just think there r some pros/ cons to playing statue vs moulin and i wanted to see how cutting moulin would feel.
@deepseaygo250 i was referring mainly to the guy above, i think your list is overall solid. I am perplexed by the triple Poseidra (only good at 3x if you blind second) and the triple minstrel (only strong if you go 1st) but other than that its a step in the right direction i think
@ Ur 100% on poseidra and minstrel. I normally would never max out these types cards and never typcially liked triple minstrel. Mainly, I wanted to just make sure I was maxing out on my consistency cards and with poseidra being a new addition, I couldnt help myself. w/ minstrel, it was an end board enabler and I was afraid of droll in the main due to tht seeming to be the new meta trend. I dont remember how poseidra did going first in my matches but I believe minstrel was solid on a few occasions going second game 1. Also.... the list looked so pretty on DB with everything at 3 lol
@nguyencuong548 I think it's really interesting and I'd love to see it in action, but I theorize tht the fact if u target dweller, detonator can respond and then dweller can chain to tht
@luKaz895 in a general sense, no not really, if u r cutting down on seidras, we have to ask wht r u replacing it with. If uve maxed out on archetype consistency, then idk wht option would be better other then Small world, eria, and or aria which the only consistencycard im looking at is eria. If ur cutting extra copies for non engine then tht personal pref on how consistent u want ur strategy which subjective to u. I'm currently preparing for 2 in main, 1 in side but only cus I want to test another engine in the deck tht keep my consistency to a degree
Hear me out. Ive been playing the decksince mermail came out. Cut infantry... For Marksmen... 1 it comes in ultimate. 2 its better to hit/ force /pressure out an Unknown trap/qp. 3. Ive won many games with dragoons second effect letting my marksman hit his second secret effect as well ;)
You was thinking of instead of the one for one just playing light of sekka? A pot of greed is also nice and isnt a -1 like one for one and you have a lot of access to it.
Hmmmmm........ very interesting... its so good cus i could play zero spells easily, but losing board breakers and impulse makes me less confident, but itd be worth testing for sure
Sekkas light being at 1 is a travesty. I was brewing a Mermail build with it since its great draw and sends back you few bricks when needed. I could see the current handtrap lineup changing to accomodate it pretty easily
Really cool idea. One question and one suggestion though :). What do you accomplish with just coelicanth summons without minstrel tuner access? just abysslacia + 1 toad I assume? To my suggestion. Don´t cut infantry, rumblin poseidra gets way worse if you cut it. Usually you bounce a backrow and pop a monster. With that in mind, add back 1 copy of diva for zealantis or xyz plays, but don´t treat it as a starter but rather as an extender. Since we can easily resummon cards from grave now the extra infantry normal summon becomes way more viable. I´ve had games were i was able to otk through 6-7 interruptions this way with a good hand. It´s a bit worse than one for one as a starter, but adds so much more gas to your deck going 2nd.
I totally get ur diva point. I played 1 diva for ahwile for the same theory. its an extender or a bait, nvr suppose to resolve as forst action. The one card i wanted tht i couldnt find in time was the lvl3 fish gluttonous thing. the baby croc. I would use tht to stream line the donna line and it helps facilitate the chenying tht sat in the corner all day. so tht was my missing piece. tht card would also allow for double toad plays and if ur opp had 4 cards in hand by the time u get going. ur probbs right on not cutting infantry, but i will definetly be keeping my eye on tht card and how much value in brings. Thnks for watching and posting ur notes. i was excited to see ur response
@@deepseaygo250 Im glad you post those videos :). The greedy fish is certainly in my opinion the best target. Doesn´t help to get prima donna live unfortunately when you don´t have minstrel access. But it allows for a cut of the 3rd pike, since it can basically do everything it´s supposed to do with 2 pikes. (if your struggling with 2 many normal summons).
@@Wanze2 true, was more so considering cutting one for one for greedy, but the third wouldnt be bad either. I need to go over my matches, but i think deepseaking wasnt to impactul going second and can be sided going second. I saw u cut him entirely.. wild my man, just wild! lol

@@deepseaygo250 oh yeah mitsurugi Is scary, havent found It yet.
Love the content btw
Gz on the win! What are your Fuwa lines without Mouling? I feel the deck has nothing without it or Megalo + Equip
@juanmanuelabregu1083 whoa thts so nasty!!
What is domain format?? 🤨
@SilvantusSchnauzer omg I've never heard of this! I'll check it out and do some digging!
@SilvantusSchnauzer thank u for mentioning
You mentioned trying to find something else in place of One for One. What card was it that you were looking for?
Great vid! How mandatory do you think coalacanth is? Are u going to ycs orlando?
Been saying the new level 7 is an easy 3 of and cutting the bricks seems like the play tbh. Barrier line is nasty
was so nasty. no one including my friend group knew i was playing tht until round 1, i let my opp draw to 15 cards in hand, drop barrier...
How do you summon Water statue? Or how do you search it?
I search/ summon it of of prima donna eff to target a banished card my opp controls, put it back in there hand then special a water. Even if u give them back there nib, they cant special it
Maybe worth trying 2 minstrel and 1 sentry to give you more options on how to get to statue?
@Bryan-yj8yj dude, I was trying i swear lol! My only issue with sentry was all the test hands I could get sentry I'd also could get minstrel and the banish is there choice which is kinda yikes...
@ I think your win condition you wanna get it through engine and not hope to draw it. 1 minstrel, 1 sentry, 1 moulin gives you actually better hands, an option to get to statue through another route, and still have 1 card combos with prince thats gets you moulin AND statue! Moulin is too powerful to drop imo. I wouldnt count statue as a brick
@@Bryan-yj8yj I may bring back moulin but for now im enjoying the testing process without it!
Played with same deck. Lost to shifter in Malis and dweller in Ryzeal, drew wtih Drytron and got free win.
Every going first game I lose, it's because I didn't open Neptabyss in some capacity, and then I look at numerous profiles telling me you don't need one4one or SW and it'll be alright, you'll get to Neptabyss and it's just crazy.
with this combo you die against every handtrap..
No TRIANA GANG LET’S GOOOOOO
Great list ! Love the philosophy behind it ❤
Appreciate u!
We’ve been telling you forever to play water statue. 😂
How about Metaltronus instead Droplet in side deck ? I think that card is very good. Target Caesar or Dweller and ss Poseidra from deck
@nguyencuong548 I think it's really interesting and I'd love to see it in action, but I theorize tht the fact if u target dweller, detonator can respond and then dweller can chain to tht
this is coocked!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@KwabzTCG smells like sushi
@deepseaygo250 just the way we like it!!! 🍣🍣🍣
you dont feel 3 the new poseidra is too much?,
@luKaz895 in a general sense, no not really, if u r cutting down on seidras, we have to ask wht r u replacing it with.
Can you make some combo Videos:)
@EmptySpace93 I want to, just need to find time!
is this a locals or regionals report?
@@Aznfanta locals report - 5 rounds 18 players
No Impulse?
@@abbousmile no, but going forward, I anticipate maining this card
I saw u cut him entirely.. wild my man, just wild! lol
