    This light is the bomb, I’ve been using it for over a year now and it is the best light I’ve ever bought and a damn steal of a bargain! Even on a high tech setup I have to run it at half brightness, it is just that powerful. Beautiful color rendition too

    Great review, I was very impressed with the PAR it's the only way to make a comparison. I too wanted a Twinstar but my tank is 800 mm (31.5"). Standard in Europe but not when lights are concerned. I checked Amazon they will send to the UK, Voltage compatible Yes. The last thing I looked at was the size only one model to 24" so I missed out again. I like the light clear of the tank. If you are aware of anything let me know.

    They stopped making this light. I bought one, and it's so amazing I wish I had bought five more just in case.

    This is a great alternative to the Twinstar Planted aquarium LED. amzn.to/2Ix7IfE

    you only need 40 par at subtrate for all the plants. too much par = much co2 and nutrient, if dont dosing fert or co2 enough that is a huge bloom of algea.

    For the price, the quality of the light spectrum is rather decent. Lot's of the cheaper LEDs are far worse with a greyish/yellowish low CRI light.
    And it can put out some serious PAR!

    Hi nice video, i have a question many of the on/off switches there are on lights, can not be compared with a timer, because you need to press on or off ? The light u have, can you set it to a timer ?

    Hey dude, I have a tank that is 13' deep and 19.5 length. Will this light reach carpet plants like monte carlo? Is this consider medium light for that depth?

      You can use a timer for this. It remembers the last setting you have. I have the same one

    Hi, I'm also wondering about the plant growth. Currently looking to buy new lighting and looking at a Twinstar 600E & 600S, but am willing to take a chance with this light if it performs well.

    • @leafreef751
      @leafreef751  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dennis Binkhorst i plan on getting a twinstar soon. I do believe you will get a better quality light. But for just starting out and learning this light is more than enough.

    • @jansvasta2146
      @jansvasta2146 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dennis Binkhorst you can also try chihiros a series. Its damn bright and well dinmable! Cost for 50cm is about 30€

    Were you able to grow a carpet using this?

    • @leafreef751
      @leafreef751  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the light is plenty bright enough. Co2 is key to a healthy carpet!

    can you get these in uk and do they do bigger sizes

    • @OriginalMindTrick
      @OriginalMindTrick 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could only find this light by Pawfly in one size and only made for the 120v American electric grid with an American plug. Surely this is made in China and should be available with a Euro or UK plug.Look at Sunsun 500C as an option.
