Got a lot of my seeds from Premier Seeds Direct this year and the Hurst Greenshaft were up after only 3 days and almost 100% germination.
Also they were cheap as chips and cheap postage too.
I'm sticking to these smaller companies from now on.
Cheers Dan 😊
Wow Nigel! When you took the hat off that comfrey bucket, i could smell it all the way over here in northern Minnesota!! I was gonna blame it on the Canadians! Haha, thanks for the great video
Hi Nigel, I have a list for my plot today. There's lots to do, but love it. Love the train going past 🚞 leeks are looking good. Another great video. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
Hello mate Nice to see the steam train go by. Good job, the smell and taste of that comfrey juice does not go into your carrots😂 . Your peas look better than mine by the very poor germination so I binned them.
I’m glad to see you weed your plot properly all that hard work will pays off in the end. Hopefully catch up with you at Malvern. All the best, Nic👍 🫛🫛🫛🥕🥕🥕🥕
Awesome video mate. great job
Comfrey juice! Yikes - I could smell it from here. I bought my 1st comfrey this year and I'm going to use it as chop and drop. I'm not as brave as you are. Very nice leek harvest. Thanks for another great video, Nigel.
Always look forward to a muddy boots video
Great update as usual Nigel 👍
nice video nigel
Great Cheers Nigel
Hi Nigel can smell that comfy from down here mate but is really good and bonus it's free,
I've found our saved peas have germinated far better than any val has brought. Be interesting to see how yours do in the different compost.
Hello both great to hear from you. Was enquiring with Richard if you were still on the site. Are you doing any videos this year? 🤞🏻
Great video I look forward to every video thanks for all your advice 👍😁
I enjoyed this! You have been cracking on! I’m trying a new to me cherry tomato this year called Sakura.
I was cringing at the smell of the comfrey - just like my dock leaf brew. Phew!
Just cover the weeds with compost - no need to break you back then! 😎
Great idea… I have seen this method used recently 😉👍🏻
@@MuddyBootz Might give it a go too!
Thanks Nigel, have a great week in the sun
Thanks… you too 😊
We got Toddler seeds from DTBrown. They were 75p each packet so we got 5 packets for our Society's veg group to trial this year. Mine are coming on nicely. Good to see we are trialling the same variety Nigel. Suzanne
Will be interesting to see how your peas turn out using different compost. Cheers
Wow Nigel I truly admire your pea sliding technique
Did that only take one take 🤔😉
Yes... you only get one shot or they tend to split into sections 😀👍 The secret is to soak then thoroughly before sliding out
I’ve grown Toddler they are soooooo leggy, I forgot to buy some perlite it’s delaying me planting them out, thankfully it’s coming this week 😅
Brill video as ever Nigel & a bonus of the train going past 😊
Thanks for the tip off👍🏻. Don’t do leggy so it may be their first and last appearance 🤣
@@MuddyBootz totally my fault they been under lights too long 😝
Hi Nigel, just wondered why you don't just use lime?
I was talking to my local supplier of Clover compost (I've used it for years) and he told me... he's allowed to sell it, but we are not allowed to use it for growing. So I said jokingly, I want it to prop my fence up, winks all round. It's madness, the growers can't use the alternatives because it's clogging the machines. This peet free push is going to fail, it's not workable. That Perlka looks good, I saw some on sale for £7.95 for 1Kg.
Where do you get the Perlke from please mick
First 😂
I sowed about 3/4lot of peas not one lot germinated so I just sowed some more stray into the bed
Nigel be careful with Perlka, the instructions say you have to use gloves and face mask. You shouldnt be touching it.
