    I had an RVR years ago and i cannot wait to get another. I traded it in on a truck (needed it for my home). This little rvr has to be the perfect vehicle for Canada. You combine this vehicle with dedicated winter tires these vehicles are literally unstoppable. Ive never been so amazed by a vehicle how it hooks up in the snow and just goes. I need to get another one in the very near future. Great overview video!!

    My mothers 2013 mitsushitty RVR was purchased from Brampton mitsushitty brand new. Neither the management, not mitsushitty Canada would honour the paint and body warranty in 2014 when she had to pay to have the roof repainted because water got underneath the zinc based paint and caused separation between the metal and the paint.
    In 2015, she had to pay out of pocket to repaint the hood for bubbling in the paint. In 2016 she had to repaint the tailgate for the same reason. In 2019 the RVR was totalled in a five car crash on the 403 in grimsby/Burlington area. None of the airbags were deployed.
    Had I thought about it, I would have tried to get the insurance company to do an inspection on the RVR and find out where the defect lied with. I’m glad she wasn’t killed, if she had been I would have sued both mitsushitty Brampton and mitsushitty Canada.

    i want to share more...this year has been so nice and sunny in northern bc that i have enjoyed the panoramic sunroof like never before. this would be great every day in the okanagan. great video. in the 2012gt the heated seat never seem to warm your butt until you are 20 min into your drive even if remotely started. on a side note, never recirculate air in the winter - it will fog up all of your windows in seconds and destroy visibility...thats not vehicle specific. im 6'4" and there is lots of head room. my nephew stepped on the seat heater as a toddler and it killed my battery when the car was off..no idea why - glad they moved that to the dash. all of these small upgrades make a difference:)

    my 2012 gt is still awesome. great handling, good on fuel, 4wd with studded winter tires works great up north - fort st john. i have scraped off some plastic when stubbornly trying to push through some ice covered snow. i haul kids and garbage and lumber and appliances in this car. i got a roof rack to haul plywood. great car. never needed warranty. suspension should be better but its a small vehicle. great value for the money. hope they keep making this instead of switching to renault version.

      I just grabbed a 2011 RVR and I do notice the suspension difference. It feels a little stiff maybe? Anytime I hit bumps, I hear almost like a clunk/thud sound. I'm not sure if the shocks need replacing at 185,000km. The vehicle doesn't rock back and forth like the shocks are worn but I do hear a thud sound. Any tips? Does anyone else experience the same feeling?

      the tires absorb less impact due to low profile. i dont think there are options @@justingregoris3164

    Does it have a timing chain or a timing belt? Do the rear seats fold down to make the trunk space completely flat ?

    • @rpmcnee
      @rpmcnee ปีที่แล้ว

      almost flat back seat. timing chain i believe from the sound it makes when it starts up.

      These motors are known to clickity clack until warm - but even when warm, still sounds like a knock, although it's normal from its design. A great vehicle nevertheless

    With high expectations, visited the dealership in Surrey BC. My observations
    1. Way too smaller than expected
    2. Rear seat under-thigh support is non existent...guess the depth compromised to give a feel of more legroom
    3. The B pillar juts into the foot well of rear seat and comes in the way will trying to exit...need to tuck the feet well in towards the seat to safely exit from rear bench.
    4. Driver seat feels good with good seating position and decent visibility.
    5. Points 1 to 3 put me off so did not do a test drive.

      I had kind of similar "high expectations" story with Eclipse Cross. It wasn't too small, but it felt quite a bit like a truck. The suspension was really loud on bumps and non-comfortable, the wheel was totally uninformative and heavy. After ~10 minutes (wanted to warm up the car) I tried to test acceleration, suddenly the cabin was full of burned oil smell and then I realized they gave me a car with 2km on it. Probably didn't break-in yet or something. My wife told me that she feels like she's riding in a big shopping cart that has a tiny wheel to steer it.
