Gary Numans allways been a top act. I remember his early stuff as a kid, and in the 37 years since, I've rarely ever heard anyone say anything negative about his work. True music fans, of all tastes, recognise his place as a Musical Icon.
Oh he was absolutely bashed day in and day out, but after decades of hell he realized that worrying about what anyone thought of his music and chasing fame was pointless and that releasing what was churning inside him was what mattered, and so now we have his truth, and masterpieces, no matter what ANYONE thinks of any of it. Just got the audio cd delivered and it is superb! It came in a little hardback book with colour pictures and lyrics. Brilliant presentation. A nod to the gatefold sleeves and albums of yesteryear when you actually felt that you had bought something tangible.And it seems that every track on the album is a winner.
I think it would be better as the final song of the set...with a screen showing pictures of the environmental terrorism man has inflicted on this planet. Heavy stuff !!
CO.AG Music surprisingly, it is not. Just saw him live in Boston. This song was not performed at all. The entire concert was high-energy rockin’. And despite the lack of this melody it was the best show I’ve seen him put on.
So good driving with this on - makes erratic, speeding, slobs eating cake whilst tailgating, disappear and I'm wholly focused on chilled, controlled driving!
At the end of his journey the desert wanderer sits by a camp fire and reflects upon his journey. Excellent ending to the album as it takes the story that was told full circle.
Gary your music has taken a real turn much like an enlightened soul who is now on the correct path your music gets better as you get older . Midge ure is the same his voice is incredible as he gets older but you seem to have learned your frequency.
