I was around 6yo when I got my first CD player and a set of headphones. Didn't get any CDs. My uncle and aunt 9 + 10y older than me each gave me Toxicity by System of a Down and All Killer, No Filler by Sum 41. Music became my life after that. And when my mom and step pops took me out to pick out my first album I saw this sitting on the shelf and my soul cried for it. My mom didn't wanna get it for me because she didn't like the music i was listening to but I fought for it like kids do and she got it for me. I'll never forget hearing this absolute piece of work for the first time ever. Never got the bonus tracks which is why I'm here discovering them now. I'll never forget the good old days man!! I'm only 27 now but it really feels like yesterday I was headbanging to this in my bedroom. Very next album after that was the Hypnotize album by System. Long Live Great Tunes!!
I'm an old school rocker brought up on Thin Lizzy, Sabbath, Scorpions, Saxon etc etc - the 1980's heydey of rock and metal. I really enjoyed SUM41 through my kids but these bonus tracks really hit the spot and fit comfortably in the genre that I loved as a kid. Great stuff.
Its nice to see someone who even knows this bonus track by sum 41 let alone also know the band saxon as well, my dad got me into all the bands you mentioned and in a way sum 41 as well through this cd which he had but never listened to, so he gave it to me and i still have it.
was my favourite sum 41 song when I used to listen to them as a teen. It's a crime that this isn't known by all whenever anyone even thinks of sum 41, if it was they'd be on a new level, known by all. But maybe that's how they want to be known by their fans like the way fans of oasis and Noel Gallagher know all their best stuff is their bsides and lesser known songs.
It doesn't help that this isn't on streaming services. Even people like me who actually bought the "does this look infected" CD still had to search out this song/other bonus track sum 41 songs.
@@thundercatshoooo dark night is totally right because their "best" song is In Too Deep and Fat lip, songs that mtv played all the time, but masterpieces from SBM or 13 voices all the fans ignored
There are so many instrumental references to songs that the band liked: The bell from For Whom the Bell Tolls, the beginning guitar riff is VERY Tragically Hip inspired, and more.
When I heard this song at the first time, I stopped to listen other heavy metal music for years, because I couldn't imagine that there's another band or number would be better than this one, I thought the heavy metal genre just reached the top with this song. I wish Sum 41 had more numbers like this.
+Jay Simons You never know. Now with Dave back in the band, who knows what we'll hear from them!!! We just need Stevo for the vocals, but I have a feeling he's long gone.
@@t100base musically. The songs became more sad and depressing. He dislikes playing Pieces because it is boringly slow and depressing. I mean, Chuck is a deep album. The reason he joined was to have fun with friends.
This song is the last song in the album, so if your going to the playlist, they have songs mixed up and not in order, so this is the last song in the album
Dude, this song has Girl I Left Behind Me. And drums. Well, a drum. Civil War has When Johnny Comes Marching Home. And no drums. Unless you meant some other aspect of the beginning, then no. It's not like Civil War's intro. Girl is from 1791. Johnny is from 1863. Sorry just, I get really specific when it comes to music like that. The rest of the songs are both cool, I'm sure. (I didn't listen to the rest of Civil War. Sorry.)
This album is one that starts out great, continues to get better, and then gets legendary with its bonus tracks.
This album was a masterpiece.
Still is :D
Was? IS!!!
Still their greatest album and top 3 track this...

Was about to write the same thing dude!!!! Luckily we have Reign in pain which is a Master piece too
@@Muzikman127might be, i'm from ecuador and it does not appear. Dave brownsound kills it as usual
Sounds like Megadeth and Iron Maiden had a baby together, with Black Sabbath.
Right!!! In fact Maiden and Judas were And i truly believe are their influences. Man that guitar and drumset kills it.
This is the IOWA of Sum 41.

Noots is massively underrated and has never been played live.

they went back to pop.david wanted to be metal
@@t100base They never went pop
They were never metal, lmfao.... they're punk/pop punk
Man this has to be a troll comment. So much better metal out there.
It’s a bad boy tune isn’t it !!
Best song they've released.
Really damn solid solo.
Love the guitars on this track
Paaaiiiiiin for pleasureeeeee
Wish they did more shit like this, too bad we will never get to hear any new stuff like this coming from them.

+computerpunk41 he left because he wants to be with his family
No,he don't even talk to Deryck.I don't think Stevo32 will be back. :(
It Will Never Be The Same D:
Then suddenly they release albums in 2016 and 2019 :D
"gonna hunt u gonna get u your time is up"!!!! yes this song is great on so many levels
PAAIIIIIN FOR PLEASUUURE!
Greetings from 2020 - still listening, still surviving the Corona virus! - this is the best tune on this entire album btw!
The band could have had a future in metal...
that's why david left
@@t100base he also left because they became too serious and less fun.
@miles what you mean like fame and stuff?

Dont stereotype ! Baby by me by neyo and 50 cent ( and Bible over daniel with Abednego in the kiln)

imagine if this was the last song on the album instead of hooch
This song is the last song in the album, so if your going to the playlist, they have songs mixed up and not in order, so this is the last song in the album
Yep, but this is the last track only on the special editions. So the rest of the owners of the normal copies we have hooch as last track.
“Look at the hate we’re breeding..”
Ha
Id actually listen to this band if they had an album like this
Ross William chuck is probably the closest album
Robert Smith only parts
Half hour is closer with 2 of the 5 songs by pfp
Either way the first 4 were so good
Civil War?
Civil, 1810, ww1 and 2
Still remember when i went to the store in 2002 to buy this album.
The guiter speed is awsome, who done the vocals
The drummer is singing
I was searching for this song for 15 years. Ukraine.
I didn't have it on my cassette 😢
Which they made an album with songs like this but Deryck on the vocals
the intro is like guns n roses civil war LLOL

Why was this song buried in oblivion?
Secret and bonus track.

Well this is ironic.
This song is like the most underrated song of Sum 41, but it's actually one of my favorites :P
sounds like civil war by g'n'r (the intro)...like a parody
I love how they took influences from old school British metal bands and crossed it over with modern American punk
I need tabs for this song lol
Farcry
Let me Google that for you bro....
DTLI?, CHUCK, SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER are classic rock albums
Noo, Civil War!!
Stevo 😢 Come back !!!!
I miss him so much😭😭
Why the f was this not on regular DTLI, it's amazing! What a killer song this is too!
It's the secret track!

Battle flag Land 🎌 recorded pink spider 🕷️🕸️ by both hyde and koda kumi its good one rock 🪨 and one pop
;D
Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️ does anyone still celebrate capital helm
I miss steve man fuck :/
Same he was so charismatic
Wtf Sum 41! Why didn't they play like this when they were getting big instead of the punk rock?
shoryurepa1 because this is just a joke metal band, not serious music
Because then they wouldn't have gotten big lol
@daniel they could have been a full fledge metal band. but the handlers wouldnt allow it to happen
Yeah, but Sum 41 haven’t been the same without the pop punk they started with.
sum 41 should had stayed on this course
