Taemin stepped down because he wanted to be just a hyung. I think it's hard to go from being the maknae to being the leader. I'm extra happy that he's the center. Isn't Mark Lead dancer in 127? Yuta and Taeyong are main aren't they? It doesn't matter! Also, I hope everyone understands that Ten is not Chinese. He's Thai. His grandma came from China (or her parents), he has Chinese ancestry, but Ten is Thai and his parents and most his family is just Thai and he just started learning Chinese. Because it's a "chinese unit" some fans will think they're all chinese but they're not! And Lucas is from Hong Kong, his first language is cantonese, he actually is Chinese but his mom is Thai! The units can have members from other countries. 127 is the seoul unit but has a Japanese and chinese member.

Taemin is supposed to be the leader but gave it to Baekhyun because as per him is he is the oldest and that Taemin explained that even if he is the kost senior among them but he lived as SHINee maknae all of his life and will stay as maknae forever. He also said that he saw how Baekhyun took care of them❤️ as a SM stan this super group is such an amazing gift for all of us. SM artists are close so it would not be much of a problem. Hi! just FYI Ten is not ethnically Chinese, he's of Chinese descent! His nationality is indeed Thai and his parents are Thai too, his grandmother's parents (I believe) were from China. Ten is a nickname, because Thai people often have nicknames since little, so it's the name he's gone by all his life :) So Ten is his name LOL. (the other names like korean and chinese were given when he debuted in those countries). He's a fantastic dancer!!!!!!! SuperM are so going to have a storyline! They're being labeled as The Kpop Avengers. Baekhyun is leader and eldest member, but SM wanted Taemin as leader (because he's been in the industry for over 10 years with SHINee, only he elected Baekhyun leader on an Instagram live. Mark is in nearly every NCT unit, except WayV. He also released a video with Xiumin called Young and Free...stg he looks like Xiumin's son in it. If you noticed Kai and Baekhyun kept their EXO powers. Taeyong and Ten have a duet video called Baby Don't Stop. They've also released dance videos on the NCT Channels, as has Mark. Although we don't know who the official leader is, it can at least be confirmed that Taemin is the center/face of the group. It's like Kai. Kai was the member with the most teasers and was practically at the end of all of EXO's teasers when the group was debuting, but he isn't the leader. He is considered the face and center of the group. Contrary to popular belief, the leader isn't necessarily the member who gets the most screentime or is at the center of the storyline, especially in SM groups. The leader is the one who is responsible for monitoring the members and keeping an open communication line between the members and the label. They are also generally considered the wiser members and are well-spoken. They are to keep the members' etiquette and attitudes in check while in public and also address any issues within the group. The center/face of the group normally stands in the middle of most of the group photos, take the center spot in choreography and ending poses more often than not, and are the main characters of the group's concept or storyline. While the leader can be the center/face of the group, it is not always the case. EXO is a great example. It's obvious that Kai is the center of the group as he is in the center for most promotional ads and in most group photos. Suho as the leader prefers to give his members more time in the spotlight and does not mind taking the backseat if it benefits the group as a whole. The leader has the responsibility to keep both the label and the group members happy, whereas the center/face of the group has the responsibility of taking most of the spotlight for the group, meaning they also have to keep their reputation pristine for the good of the group. I'm a new army and I'm slowly starting to learn about other groups. It's not like I was opposed to listening to other groups. It's just been difficult knowing where to start when it comes to getting into the fandom. But thankfully, there are people online willing to help out lol. Also. Well, most SHINee fans are fine I think since Taemin is the only one not in the military RN lol. As an EXO-L, so long as we get an EXO comeback before more enlist, I'm good with this. Even though Kai and Baekhyun are in SuperM, their power is still intact with them.... everything EXO do, even with sub units , solo, and like this one... it's all connected. I believe NCT and the rest of the members there in SuperM, in their original group, have also a storyline....I dunno much about NCT , but I think they also have a storyline like EXO.... There's a 9 year age difference between them but you wouldn't know it from watching the MV. Just to clarify as of right now The leader hasn’t been officially confirmed by SM Originally Taemin is supposed to be the leader and that’s why it seems that way in these teasers but in a live they did on insta Taemin said he didn’t want to be the leader and would rather Baek be the leader. AND ANOTHER ONE that I liked when I read it: Clementine C 27.09.2019 Instead of believing that each member has its own superpower, I would rather believe that the SuperM combines the universe of the three groups. It contains elements from different universe-super power from exo (Light for Beakhyun and teleportation for Kai, you can see them in MAMA mv and other MVs ), and the dream and empathy concept in NCT(This is the concept of NCT that goes through every single video they made, and it is best explained in their 2018 album trailor-NCT mentary). I'm not sure abt Shinee's universe because back when Shinee started, SM hasn't developed such thing as group universe and philosophy. I think the trailer might be influenced by the concept of id, ego, and super-ego by Sigmund Freud, Taemin is in the third world-(the super-ego ) to summon others into his world. It can be seen as the awaken of the true self, the alteration of personality, or the eruption of inspiration. So in individual trailers other than Taemin's, you can see them going through awaken and changes. In Taeyong's trailer, the main personality(wearing hoodie) watched a movie of two of himself killing each other. When the main personality outside in the cinema looked back. the other self(wearing blazer) in the movie put up his gun. In the end, the main personality was killed, 20 Taeyong(wearing blazer) become the audience. In Ten's trailer, as Ben has noticed, the difference of perversion of inside and outside of the painting seems to signify his two personalities. Lucas and Mark's trailer also shows similar things. Lucas regular and wild side- wearing suit vs wearing Leopard patterned coat and a pink shirt. And Mark wearing white opened the box and freed the black Mark. Beakhyun's trailer seems a bit different. Instead of having different personalities or different selves, he is more on the awaken side. Did he wake up to see the reality? I'm not sure. Kai is keep traveling between dream and reality in the trailer. More like Baekhyun, he keeps waking up to see where he is. In Taemin's trailer, the scene seems to be a flashback, like a scene when he is floating on the table. And it seems like it is in a cycle. He seems to be gathering members from id and ego to his world of super ego to complete sth. (maybe symbolizing an inspiration?). And after that, they depart and go back to the cycle and wait for the next reunion. The concept of Awaken, cycle(end to start, the origin will begin), empathy and dream in a dream is so common in SM videos especially NCT's. So I guess this is what they are currently fascinated about and it is definitely shown in these trailers.

SHINee is my ult bias group for 12 years. Taemin is supposed to be the leader but gave it to Baekhyun because as per him is he is the oldest and that Taemin explained that even if he is the kost senior among them but he lived as SHINee maknae all of his life and will stay as maknae forever. He also said that he saw how Baekhyun took care of them❤️
as a SM stan this super group is such an amazing gift for all of us. SM artists are close so it would not be much of a problem. I love my EXO babies and as well as NCT because they always reminds me of early days SHINee ❤️❤️❤️

Taeyong - leader, main dancer, main rapper, visual and center of NCT 127. He's also a composer, lyricist and choreograper for the group
Mark - main rapper, lead dancer, sub-vocal and alongside Yuta he is also a sub-center. He is also compose and writes songs for both NCT 127 and NCT Dream(a former member), he's also known as a pro-debuter since he's been in almost all NCT units except WayV
Ten - main dancer of WayV and the entire NCT, lead vocalist, he also designs merch for WayV and he is an artist by heart, he is also a center and face of WayV
Lucas - he is the center and visual of WayV, he's also a professional model(literally), he's also the main rapper and lead dancer of WayV

Hi! just FYI Ten is not ethnically Chinese, he's of Chinese descent! His nationality is indeed Thai and his parents are Thai too, his grandmother's parents (I believe) were from China. Ten is a nickname, because Thai people often have nicknames since little, so it's the name he's gone by all his life :) So Ten is his name LOL. (the other names like korean and chinese were given when he debuted in those countries).

Although we don't know who the official leader is, it can at least be confirmed that Taemin is the center/face of the group. It's like Kai. Kai was the member with the most teasers and was practically at the end of all of EXO's teasers when the group was debuting, but he isn't the leader. He is considered the face and center of the group. Contrary to popular belief, the leader isn't necessarily the member who gets the most screentime or is at the center of the storyline, especially in SM groups. The leader is the one who is responsible for monitoring the members and keeping an open communication line between the members and the label. They are also generally considered the wiser members and are well-spoken. They are to keep the members' etiquette and attitudes in check while in public and also address any issues within the group. The center/face of the group normally stands in the middle of most of the group photos, take the center spot in choreography and ending poses more often than not, and are the main characters of the group's concept or storyline. While the leader can be the center/face of the group, it is not always the case. EXO is a great example. It's obvious that Kai is the center of the group as he is in the center for most promotional ads and in most group photos. Suho as the leader prefers to give his members more time in the spotlight and does not mind taking the backseat if it benefits the group as a whole. The leader has the responsibility to keep both the label and the group members happy, whereas the center/face of the group has the responsibility of taking most of the spotlight for the group, meaning they also have to keep their reputation pristine for the good of the group. Of course, I know that many fans believe that there can be more than 1 face of the group, but this is generally pretty accurate. Every group is different and it's common nowadays that the leader is generally considered the center/face of the group, but SM groups in particular work in their own special ways. Super Junior is another group where Leeteuk is the leader, but not necessarily the center of the group.

I'm a new army and I'm slowly starting to learn about other groups. It's not like I was opposed to listening to other groups. It's just been difficult knowing where to start when it comes to getting into the fandom. But thankfully, there are people online willing to help out lol.

Well, most SHINee fans are fine I think since Taemin is the only one not in the military RN lol. As an EXO-L, so long as we get an EXO comeback before more enlist, I'm good with this. Even though Kai and Baekhyun are in SuperM, their power is still intact with them.... everything EXO do, even with sub units , solo, and like this one... it's all connected. So as you can see, Kai's power is teleportation, same with Baekhyun which is light.
I believe NCT and the rest of the members there in SuperM, in their original group, have also a storyline....I dunno much about NCT , but I think they also have a storyline like EXO.... His speech was about the future of technology, and how it can be used in entertainment in the future. *He talked about SuperM_smtown during his speech, and how the group can BRING SYNERGY between the East and the West.* "

Instead of believing that each member has its own superpower, I would rather believe that the SuperM combines the universe of the three groups. It contains elements from different universe-super power from exo (Light for Beakhyun and teleportation for Kai, you can see them in MAMA mv and other MVs ), and the dream and empathy concept in NCT(This is the concept of NCT that goes through every single video they made, and it is best explained in their 2018 album trailor-NCT mentary). I'm not sure abt Shinee's universe because back when Shinee started, SM hasn't developed such thing as group universe and philosophy. I think the trailer might be influenced by the concept of id, ego, and super-ego by Sigmund Freud, Taemin is in the third world-(the super-ego ) to summon others into his world. It can be seen as the awaken of the true self, the alteration of personality, or the eruption of inspiration. So in individual trailers other than Taemin's, you can see them going through awaken and changes.
In Taeyong's trailer, the main personality(wearing hoodie) watched a movie of two of himself killing each other. When the main personality outside in the cinema looked back. the other self(wearing blazer) in the movie put up his gun. In the end, the main personality was killed, 20 Taeyong(wearing blazer) become the audience.
In Ten's trailer, as Ben has noticed, the difference of perversion of inside and outside of the painting seems to signify his two personalities.
Lucas and Mark's trailer also shows similar things. Lucas regular and wild side- wearing suit vs wearing Leopard patterned coat and a pink shirt. And Mark wearing white opened the box and freed the black Mark.
Beakhyun's trailer seems a bit different. Instead of having different personalities or different selves, he is more on the awaken side. Did he wake up to see the reality? I'm not sure.
Kai is keep traveling between dream and reality in the trailer. More like Baekhyun, he keeps waking up to see where he is.
In Taemin's trailer, the scene seems to be a flashback, like a scene when he is floating on the table. And it seems like it is in a cycle. He seems to be gathering members from id and ego to his world of super ego to complete sth. (maybe symbolizing an inspiration?). And after that, they depart and go back to the cycle and wait for the next reunion.
The concept of Awaken, cycle(end to start, the origin will begin), empathy and dream in a dream is so common in SM videos especially NCT's. So I guess this is what they are currently fascinated about and it is definitely shown in these trailers.
