Nice to follow your road to Canada, another big sportive goal you'll work towards ... COOL! As I'm in an internal discussion with myself to buy a gravelbike or a mountainbike... this movie pulls me more towards a gravelbike. Looking forward to your next video! Good luck!
@@Y3riel unfortunately I won’t be there due to circumstances :( I did a channel update video about that. The one before my most recent video. Good luck and have a great day out!
Thanks Ben! That would be great! Closer to our travels, I’ll be sharing how I plan my rides and perhaps a ride with some of the channel followers would be great.
You can film all videos by phone if you wanted to. Apple and Samsung have filmed their events completely by phones with great quality. The weird portrait frame was caused by your hand, not by camera itself 😊
lol yes, that was first ever video and I hadn't quite caught on to 'framing' ..... one lives and learns. At the minute I do half on the phone, half on the gopro, thanks for watching.
@@fondoquest I found your channel today. My goal is to do Gran Fondos too. I have a running background. Used to run for 13 years, trained 11 times a week and wanted to run in the national marathon championships. Then I got injured in a race. After almost two years doctors haven't figured out what is wrong in my knee. So I try riding bike but I suck in it. 170 cm, 60 kilos is perfect for running but not for cycling. Hence, I have plenty to learn which is why I watch YT a lot.
Chances are with that weight, you'll get very good at climbing as your power output goes up. I'm a similar build (178 and 62-63kg and climbing sustained climbs-/cols is where I come into my own@@baltsu
@@fondoquest yeah exactly but we don't have any climbs in Helsinki. If I am able to get this business selling BMC bikes to take off, then I need to get a location for training on Mallorca.
makes me want to get on my bike and go for a ride but the weather isn't that great here lately. any tips on handling the heavy vibration while navigating the fields?
Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed the video, please like the video and subscribe to the channel, thanks.
Amazing to see you enjoy your passion! Thanks for sharing! Hope to see some more of your trips soon. Looking forward to the Canada adventure.
Thank you! More to follow!

If you plan on only using 1 bike; get a gravelbike as you’ll be able to ride off-road and still get some speed on the road.
Nice! It’s almost time! LET”S GO! which distance are you doing? I’ll be there doing 152km - Good LUCK!

@@fondoquest that’s too bad! Next year?!?
@@Y3riel not sure tbh. Will see if I can make it across the pond.
I am a cyclist from Vancouver, BC. If you need any tips around Victoria or Vancouver feel free to reach out... Cheers, Ben

A suspension fork would help. Another alternative would be lower tyre pressure to help absorb the bumps.
@@fondoquest something to consider - will look into it - thanks!
