I came to the wolf garten addiction because I'm over 6' and wanted long poles for my tools.I also broke the trowel and didn't bother with the warranty but I did buy a new one. While the wolf garten one broke it lasted longer than others that I've broken, bit heavy handed with trowels.

Lol it does become a addiction. Do you have the extending pole?

I have 2, got the shorter one cheap but needed the longer one for a job so bought that too.

It's good and solid with a little flex when full extended. I use it with a pruning saw in combination with the other pole with a hook to pull or steady branches, and a window cleaner to keep the missus happy.

I have an allotment and don't leave any tools on site so I take everything with me and remove when I've finished. These Wolf Garten Tools are a blessing as the Aluminium handle is light weight and I can carry any attachments I need in a bucket.

Good review. I'm new to the Wolfgarten brand and generally do not like tools that aren't aesthetically pleasing. Wood handles saturated with Pine Tar, developing that wonderful patina that only wood and iron can...... such a delight. All this plastic jive really aggravates me because I can see it in the landfills and road edges everywhere. Still, I have to admit that I do like the looks of their pole saw. I've got a different band and it is heavy as you could ask for, cumbersome beyond measure, and a general displeasure to use. Something a bit lighter for the light work I do would be nice, and I'm specifically shopping for things that are made in Europe or North America rather than the chicom territory or other nasty place. I think it's important that we support our own as much as we can, especially when we're talking about a quality tool that'll last for ages.

the only wolf garten tool I am unhappy with so far is the lawn edger, but I am quite brutal with them, I use a custom made one or my lawn edger attachment for the kombi.

At a customer's house they have the spinning cutting type wolf lawn edger. I've been meaning (for past three years lol) to try it out. But tbh am not expecting great things. It has a ball type thing that goes on the lawn. Have you seen them?

Unless you really need the space like you only have a small shed or need to be mobile in a van etc then there are usually better tools for less money elsewhere. The only tool that I see Wolf Garten as the category leader is the scarifying rake with wheels on the side which is great.

Great job matey, really interesting as I have 3 Wolf tools, and love em. The hoe, Garden Fork, and claw. I love the lightness of them, and have great trust in their ability to get the job done. Definitely will be buying more of German reliability. Cheers!

I purchased my first hand tool 10+ years ago. I didn't expect it to last this long. Doubtful about the plastic clip thingee. But boy has it done some work, never failing to do what is demanded of it. I even put it on the long handle to reach the back of the border.I have many more tools and handles now. All the same high quality and efficiency. In my opinion they are the best.

A question, please: I want to scarify my suburban lawn. Should I get a wooden Wolf Garten handle or an extendable aluminium one? I’m wondering if the extendable handle would be strong enough for this purpose?
