Hoya Kerii. Hi Brad. I saw these at a local store. The owner told me as well that they most likely won't develop into a plant. he told me he will be getting some small branch cuttings. I had rooted a dozen or so hoya Australis leaves and Carnosa leaves they all have good roots. only one has turned into a little plant. this year I will take some full cuttings. thanks for the great video.
Congrats on these. I have one I got as a cutting and they make cool flowers with lots of nectar dripping everywhere. They are slow growers though.

The long time as you say to root is 4-6 weeks and a few months before you see growth above the soil. Depending on the care.

The leaf of that Hoya will develop roots but not a plant :( you need a cutting

If you are lucky you and you did get the node that sits rigth above the leaf when they broke the leaf of they may sprout a wine.
But if you did't get the node they will never grow.
Curiosity almost killed the Hoya ! ;-) I love this one. Your greenhouse is going to smell great this summer. A lot better than mouse carrion or bulbophyllum rothschildianum !
Please do an update. I just bought one and knew that the chances are it won’t root but I say some ppl get results. I wondering what your results were since you have three!

I'm skeptical of H. kerrii leaf cuttings. best to start them the old fashioned way from a stem cutting. I used to have one that took about three years from cutting to first umbel of flowers. other than being a slow grower and slow to establish, they're tough as nails and very easy to grow indoors.
They are a scam
Single leaf without a node will root but you will not grow a plant from it
You pay for 1 leaf that's it
They are cute :) what is actually takes for hoyas to bloom, I mean the most important thing, light, moisture, fertilizer?

Unless your hoya kerri leaves have a node, they will never do anything cept stay as a leaf. For them to become a plant, they need the node included......I sure hope those leafs have the node
I got it as a gift from my hubby. The leaf got cut somehow and came out if soil. I put it back again. Will it survive? Please tell the way to save it.. i will everything to keep it alive.

It never buds, you need stem cutting with nodes. So misleading title.

I got one and as I'm a new plant mum I didn't realise they wouldn't grow into a plant
So I now have paid for 1 hoya leaf and that's it
I messaged the company and there are no nodes on it
They don't even advertise the fact it is just a single leaf
Buyer beware
