there are clearly some talksport subscribers who feel strongly that if *they're* not interested in something, then it doesn't hold value.. but as a woman who's never been bothered about football until i wasn't just seeing MEN play it.. characters like rue, shebahn and anita have really changed that for me! so glad they're being given well deserved airtime.. great first episode, really looking forward to more!
Youve summed it up so well!
Nice one Talksport for giving women’s footy a platform 👍. Class act Ruesha and Shebahn😎.
@@Shep777 🙄
I actually have to say I really enjoyed listening to Ruesha. I understood 99% of what she was saying so that helps! I'm not sure whether she slowed her speech down or the sound quality was better but either way I was happy to listen to her take on things.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the shite talk but it was really nice to enjoy Ruesha speaking about football… properly 😂
Enjoyed. Ruesha stayed on task and yet kept her refreshing honesty. Sheban great job as moderator.
Shebhan, you’re brilliant this is exactly the setting I was hoping would happen for you and Ruesha. The show was a perfect balance of you showing off your professionalism in the media space and having such a quality guest on that can talk football on Rueshas level was great to hear..Say what you want about Ruesha, but she really knows her football 💯 great show!
Brilliant - fantastic first guests, really enjoyed listening to Neetz. Shebahn presenting skills en pointe as always! Ruesh is always seen as the banter and fun( which we love her for) but this really showed the knowledge and understanding of football she has which made this work so well. You could see the sense in all the discussion she had with Neetz and then the cheeky smile with some of her comments 😂
Keep up the good work girls, can’t wait for the next one, these are going to become the go to for WSL/Championship reviews/updates/ analysis for the season!
Amazing show I will say there needs to be more teams going into the WSL and expand the league. Also have more teams going up and down. It needs to be more competitive. There is some amazing teams in the championship it’s not fair one team goes up and one goes down.
This was joyous, great presenting Shebhan and such interesting insights from Ruesha. I look forward to more.
OH MY GOD THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED!! YAYI FOR WOMEN'S FOOTBALL!!
Love Meado! Particularly enjoyed the last 10ish mins of the episode - really interesting. Nothing wrong with being a realist Ruesha!!
Thanks guys. Can’t wait for the wsl season to get started! Be good to know a bit more about your opinions on villa for this season.
More of this please 🙏 Women’s game is awesome!!
Brilliant video!
Congrats on the show gals. Ah Shebahn your very hard on our Rue
Play nice kids 😂
❤️❤️❤️
Well done girls great shoe rue smashed it ! And please god her hilight will be Ireland in the Euros cant see us doin it without her tbh she the strength an dogged get ya self inthere amoungst it tyoe player Ireland needs ! YuP the Irish ❤
Unfortunately some of Arsenal's new fan base are toxic and will not give Viv the respect she deserves. Viv was fighting for the women's team to play in the stadium long before Arsenal was interested. But these "new fans" don't know what loyalty means
Can't wait for the next episode. Just the show we've been waiting for.
Great first show. You pair are a winning formula. Highlighting the important issues with humor. Congrats 👏
Great show girls, really enjoyed the chat 👏 👍, looking forward to listening throughout the season.
Incredible work by you guys. As a listener of 13 years, I absolutely love this type of content.
Really enjoyed that guys. Thanks ❤
Brilliant podcast guys! Followed you over from both yours pods, enjoyed it thoroughly
RE Anita's comments on Man U: it seems like Man U just flat out DON'T have a business model bc they flat out DON'T value the women's side - Ratcliff has basically said as much when confronted about it, saying their priority is their "first team", aka the men's side. I don't want to assume the worst, but watching the exodus of talent, with Earps even alluding to the team's treatment as a reason for her exit, it almost seems that IS their 'business plan' for the women's side - starve it of resources so they keep failing so they can justify taking more from it and maybe even axing it altogether. I mean, they've only even been fully pro in this iteration since 2018! Absolutely shameful to see how the men's game deliberately holds the women back, over and over and over again (it's why I can't even stomach watching men's football anymore - not a single player on Man U's men's team said a word about booting the women from their facilities...).
Great first show, really really enjoyed it.
"Caldentey of championship"is crazy😂😂
Great opening show!
The Kick Back - absolutely amazing !!! Great idea 😁 can’t wait to see this show grow, watch this space everyone 😁 Shebahn - so well deserved 👏 buzzin for you- you deserve to be in the spotlight for this and for the work you do with talk sport & the other stuff you do ! Just such a friendly, funny, down to earth & bloody brilliant radio presenter, reporter.. the list goes on however you always do such a great job 🎉 Round of applause for Talksport getting more involved with women’s football by allowing this to happen - a step in the right direction 🙌🎉 well done all - even better doing it with your twin sister Ruesha - she’s no feart that’s for sure hahah!! Love it - such great banter with you pair🤣👏 can’t wait for more to come x
Beth we love ya, but LONDON is BLUE💙💙💙
No way! Would love to see you at the Emirates girlie, Gooner but think you’re hilarious and watch all your stuff. Trying to follow LCL’s too 🦁 ⚽️
Remember at the last champions league final, rue and lucy quinn bumped into vicky losada, who is also several FC 25 notches above the Brighton lot, and she was shaking her head and confessed she did extra runs at the end of training just to feel like she train at her normal elite level instead of wherever Brighton was camping at. You guys should have Vicky Losada be a guest next and ask her if Caldentey was asking her for advice and also doing extra runs after training.
Wish Sheb asked Meado if she got a new Spanish or swedish roommate or if Walti has a new roommate instead 😅
Was wondering what you guys think about players being present for post game press conferences where they provide thoughts about what happened in the game, which is happening in the nwsl. But in the WSL only the manager do the post game press conferences and field the media questions. Should WSL players do post match press conferences too? I think it's nice for the fans to hear the player's honest assessment and perspectives instead of the managers repeating the same stuff that the team needs to work on while endorsing the same unsuccessful coaching tactics 😪
Yay 😊so excited for this 👏🏽
Given in that Ireland commercial depicting Ruesha doing a bicycle kick, I'd like to see Ruesha attempt live Lauren Hemp's scorpion kick last season 😂
Things ye love to see....great work gals
Love this !
3:18 Durham Women are also not affiliated with a men’s side.
Great show! A great theme for Ruesha’s experience and knowledge to shine. Shebahn looking very comfortable and confident in her role. One thing, the black jacket does not do Ruesha (fashion) justice.
Really enjoyed this but hope the other podcasts will still continue (please)
About time 👏👏👏
Great show
need to get Ruesha and Paul Slane in the same room for a pod
5:51 when that book comes out Ruesha, those specific Arsenal fans will owe you an apology!
Great show 👏 well done girls ❤
The only trophy arsenal can get is conti, and dont remember what happened over a decade ago
⚽️🎉 love to see it
Shebhan needs to get a better agent; should be on TV.
Ruesha should provide and demonstrate a few suggestions for goal celebrations as well as which WSL player would do these goal celebrations. Since Sam Kerr can't risk doing back flips anymore, do you guys think she should and would do a Raygun from the Olympics kangaroo breakdancing goal celly? 🤣
Bloody Brill
LOL!!!
Win the league?!?! 😂😂😂 They gotta make it through Ch league qualification first FFS 😂😂
Ruesha jordan 😂
Arsenal win the league? 😂😂😂
Good first one - a lot of Arsenal talk which is my only negative and Ruesha being too conservative 😂
2:09 not all of us are savage. There are certain ones…
🎉🎉🫶
Hi we have a problem your talk show name clashes with mine. I've been established for a year now.
What language is this channel? I don't understand a word. Are they speaking Portuguese? 🤷♂️
I only wander into talkspace...because of these twins. I hope you guys will figure out how to morph into the equivalent of golazo network with Abdo, Henry, Carrogher and Meeks. I just wanna tune in and have tons of laughs and see some women football goofiness and maybe chat a little bit seriously about football tactics. I'm pretty tired of hearing about ACL research, clubs disappointing fans, struggles of women's rights, investment stuff, misogynistic remarks from fifa/owners/men in general, among other serious issues that belong to more serious platforms. I just wanna laugh and enjoy all the fun pranks and shenanigans and witty clapbacks
Great, but if it weren't for all the topics you dismiss women's football wouldn't have the profile that has made a podcast like this possible. There are many clubs in the top two tiers whose treatment of their women's teams would horrify you. As much as it is great to have a laugh, we will never get to a place where we can just enjoy the sport without continuing to deal with some of the more depressing situations.
Rubbish and Gareth Southgate suits you lot!
Is this just another Arsenal chat show. I hope not as after seeing them play in champions league they won’t win WSL.
Nobody Cares about The Women's Football!!! 🙄
Speak for yasell mate
No one asked your opinion 🤷🏾♀️
Ikr proper borefest 😴
Says the person who cared enough to click on a video about women's football and then leave a comment as well. 🙄
Ah babes, but we do 😊
Make a separate channel for this tripe
No
Come on Sam. Don’t be a wally. Nobody like a wally x
@shebahn agreed, grow up Sam babes
What part of the name *TALKSPORT* do you not understand? 🙄
Why?? You know you don’t need to press play to watch if you don’t want to!!
Some of us are really excited for this!
We will have to wait for United the only club capable of challenging City's dominance.
Lol. I'm a United fan, so it's not because of any bias that I say you have lost your mind. United have never been in a worse place. The new owners have declared that they have not yet got round to doing any planning for the team. The transfer window was dictated by very low spending and the calibre of players brought in is simply not comparable to Chelsea, Arsenal and City. We are playing very poor football under Skinner - hence our 6-0 battering at the hands of Chelsea at the end of last season. United's women's side is in disarray with key staff lost and the much-heralded state of the art training facilities given to the men, while the women are relegated to portable cabins. A parade of big name players has left the club and we have lost numerous Lionesses, whose profiles draw people to games. Pre-season has been mixed so far. Loads of other clubs headed off on pre-season tours to places like Australia, which builds fanbases, whilst United spent nothing on this and the team barely left the Midlands. Cost-cutting is the driving force at the moment and due to all of the above agents are actively informing players not to go to United. We lack any true big names, with the exception of perhaps Ella Toone. The opening game at Old Trafford will be a disaster as the game has been so poorly marketed that the turnout is expected to be the worst ever at the ground. We will likely win against West Ham (although anything is possible), but many fans are extremely worried about the direction the club is going in. We are simply not spending enough or implementing enough of a coherent plan to challenge the top teams. I really hope that we are proved wrong, but it is not looking good. Fans should be uniting and holding Ratcliffe and the Glazers to account, but instead any mention of all this and there is a pile-on of toxic positivity from blinkered supporters who cannot separate loyalty to the team from the need to demand better standards from the club.
@@MartaComplex 😄🤣
@MartaComplex that's a very well thought out comment. Well said .but I'm sure it would have went right over his head as you can see from his reply .
The focus on Arsenal and the lack of talk about other clubs shows and pushed the agenda... check the facts before you shout about your facts again
BOOOOOOORING
alright murph
