There are several cards that drive me up the fucking wall for different reasons. Berserk Gorilla is one of them. Reason being: it won't stop being a beatstick if you make it defend, it will destroy itself Edit: Heart of the Underdog gives you the option to draw more cards if you draw a normal type monster during the draw phase or with it's effect
The Mokuba's voice changing joke is reference that in Season 5 of the English Dub Mokuba that gets a new a VA. It seems like LK didnt bother to change the voice.
Yeah, that's right. It's also a callback to two other jokes. One in episode 8 when Tristan's voice changed and both Mai and Mokuba say they'd never want anything bad to happen to their voices. Then, it's also a callback to the Bardock Abridged Movie. When we first see Frieza, he speaks in a voice similar to that of the Dub, after which he apologizes for having something in his throat.
For the the record Kuma: "Heart of the giant Dumbbro" allows to draw another card if you drawing a normal monster card, the effect is still in tact until you draw a Effect monster, trap/Spell card. so we have a clean shot for this cameo.
This filler arc is the shortest one in the franchise so I’m curious to see how he deals with the material here. I’ve seen 5Ds/Zexal in the English Sub and I would recommend checking them out. The latter takes a bit more time to get to the main conflict arc but it’s a wild good ride from what I saw so far. Sub is the best way to watch any Yugioh anime.
The part where Makuba has a different voice is a reference to them changing Mokuba's voice actor in the show. It is also a call back to episode 2 when Tristan lost his voice and Mokuba says "I sure hope my voice never changes." This is actually amazing that he did this so many years later.

A few things: 1) i'm still amazed Little Kuriboh got Erika Harlacher to voice in this (the voice of 2 danganronpa girls in Kaede and Kyoko, the voice of Ann Takamaki from p5, and the voice of Aiba from Ai the Somnium Files) 2) two of the decks used in this filler arc were anime exclusive for a long time (Valkyrie & Leon's Fairy Tale deck) 3) this arc is the last time Kaiba will play a full card game
I brings a smile to my face that Kaiba is Kuma's favourite YGOTAS character and they both had the same reaction to Ziegfried. Kuma: "Is that Pegasus?" Kaiba: "Pegasus! I knew you's show your face eventually!!"
"But wouldn't he keep drawing?" Actually, with Heart of the Underdog (aka Heart of the Stupid Bitch) gives you the option of whether you can draw another card or not
Me too Both the actual thing and the Abridged version, even though we haven't really started the actual abridged tournament xD I just know it's gonna be good (if we live long enough to see it)
Well, they didn't "take the Patreon money and run" - I'm pretty sure they never said / did put that towards DBZA and they had other projects even at the time, plus you can't really fault them for having creative burnout and deciding copyright claims weren't worth it anymore
The last episode of DBZA had an announcement for the next season and they were really vague about more DBZA for a very long time and only announced it on a message board. I'm sure a lot of people during that time thought they were contributing to more DBZA and were shocked to find out they were quitting. TFS did a very poor job of keeping their fans in the loop and even became defensive on reddit when people were upset about it. If they had been upfront with people from the start and not argued with them on message boards like 5 year olds, then people probably would've taken it better.
just for clarity, Heart of the Underdog is a C Spell card that says if you drew a Normal Monster you can continue to draw on repeat till you draw a Effect Monster, Spell or Trap Card. So Yugi drew until he drew Spirt Ryu. As For spirit Ryu he can discard Dragon monsters allowing ryu to gain a 1000 for each card. Played yugioh a lot
In the actual anime the Joey inspired Magic Card only lets you draw until you draw a non-normal type monster and he drew Spirit Ryu which is an effect monster so he had to stop drawing
18:06 The reason Yugi stopped drawing cards is because the last dragon (that you see a few seconds later) isn't a nornal monster. The magic card allows you to draw cards as long as you draw normal monsters cards.
That twitch person seems to not care who she affects with copyright, that's just unfortunate. Anyways it's great ygotas returned! That pokemon music though, LK really took a risk there.
18:08 Actually Heart of the Underdog's effect is at any point optional. You can stop drawing cards whenever you want to as the effect reads that if it's a normal monster you can reveal it to draw another card.
LittleKuriboh should have made "Heart of the Giant Furry" reference in this episode. And Kaiba should have called Joey a Giant Furry when he got off the helicopter. Kinda disappointed.
I thought copyright strikes was for people who actually own the stuff, which is why people talk over music they use so its not technically the original and isn't the creators work anymore. Audio for music, video for shows/movies etc. I had no idea that people could just claim other people's work and get money for it on here like that it's not right. Why aren't they getting punishment?
Hail to the King of Games, baby! YGOTAS was always one of the best, the first and greatest of the Big Three of abridged series alongside DBZA and SAOA. But where DBZA retells the same story but makes it funny and SAOA takes a story and elevates it to greatness, YGOTAS mercilessly takes the piss out on the show and makes it hilarious. But yes, Jaden Yuki has a better win/loss ratio than Yugi. Jaden lost only three duels that weren't dreams, simulations or flashbacks: his first duels to Zane and Aster and his duel against Kaibaman. Yes, Kaibaman. He's a duel spirit come to life. Because in GX Kaiba's the sheer force of Kaiba's ego inserts an avatar of Kaiba into the spirit world. How? Because he's Seto Fucking Kaiba.
18:00 heart of underdog don't force you to draw, during your draw phase, if you draw a normal monster(a monster with no effect) you can show it to your opponent and draw another card, and you can repeat as long you want and as long you draw normal monsters, the card is meme, even in pendulum era with normal pendulum monsters, the card was not that good, normal pendulums can be used to make XYZ and other special summons, but you can't make anything actually good with a bunch of normal archetypesless monsters and no decent spells and traps, and if you put traps, spells, or effect monsters on the deck you cut its draw power, and on top of that link monsters restricted how pendulum monsters were played, and now the card is even more meme.

Considering in the show many cards had their effects, ATK and DEF points, etc altered or added on it's not out of the question that these tournaments are rigged.
Kinda disappointed LittleKuriboh didn't make a "Heart of the Giant Furry", "Donkey Kong" and "Gandhi" reference in this episode. Also, I don't think LittleKuriboh didn't voice the little kid duelist. LittleKuriboh should have voiced the kid duelist.
It's funny because people have done research and have concluded that yugi/the pharoah really does have the worst win to lost ratio, Yugi/the pharoah lost 4 times, jaden lost three times, yusia never lost a duel, Yuma only lost once and yuya as far as I know only lost once, as for the other two I haven't watched those yet so have no idea.
Yugi and the Pharaoh are different characters. The Pharaoh "lost" to Kaiba in duelist kingdom, he lost against Raphael in season 4 and against Yugi in the final duel. Which means that he lost 3 times, with one of his losses being questionable. Little Yugi only lost once. He threw the match against Rebecca back in season 1. Jaden lost four times. He lost to Zane in season 1, lost to Kaibaman in season 1, and lost to Aster in season 2. People joke around that he lost to Yugi in the final episode but we didn't see that duel's conclusion, it could've gone either way or even been a draw. This ties up Jaden and Pharaoh with three losses each. So Kaiba's info in this episode was incorrect. (Yeah, i know it was just a joke).
@@connorwood9211 It’s technically considered a DNF because his D-wheel broke and he crashed before the duel ended, but he was about to lose anyway so really it’s up to personal opinion.
Yeah. Jaiden lost about the same amount of times as yugi, but has around twice as many duels. (Also yubel which becomes a part of jaiden towards the end, has a 100% winrate) Yusei from 5ds and yusaku from vrains both never lost during the show, but did lose a couple times in flashbacks. Yuma from zexal only lost once on screen, but it's stated in episode 1 that the day before the show starts he lost 10 times in a row. So he lost the most out of the protagonists with 11 loses, but again - he dueled more than yugi in his show, so percentage wise he's better than yugi. And honestly by the end of their respective series it shows. Arc v is an interesting case since the protagonist is part of a set that are all technically the same person. If we're just talking yuya from the pendulum dimension. He lost three times, the last one being him forfeiting while being the dominant personality of the main villain. Again, yuya had more duels than yugi. The other protagonists from the other dimensions within arc v's loss numbers are as followed: Yuto of the xyz dimension lost only once, but died pretty early on. Yugo of the synchro dimension lost twice. And yuri of the fusion dimension lost once, and is also the one with the 2nd highest amount of duels after yuya (counting duels where it's him vs several other characters at once as separate duels as that's how the show treats them). Sevens is still in its first season so we can't count it, but iirc he lost once so far.

TH-cam: don’t worry if you think this is bad we are helping big companies gain more power to the point they will have the power to send you to federal prison because someone played a song in a video. God damn America turned from capitalism to corporatism
using bits of music in the background of your video is actually legally not fair use. The ONLY fair use exception in the law is if you review content and talk ABOUT IT over every second of the copyrighted material. Parodies are not fair use, even Weird Al Yankovich has to license all his parodies. So companies are legally in the right and if youtube protects creators, they're gonna be the ones getting sued by all the companies. They have no choice. The problem isn't youtube, the problem is the law. The law was made in the 1970s before the internet and is meant for giant corporations with legal teams to handle this stuff. The law is not up to date and is therefore ripe for abuse. If we want change, we need to demand an amendment or even a rewrite of the law to fit modern entertainment, but good luck doing that when companies can just not adapt to the digital age and spend minimum effort leeching money from people's creativity just because they legally can. It's not in companies' interest to change, so there will be no support for it
Fun fact about that line regarding how Yugi has the worst win/loss record out of every main protag so far- It's wrong. It's clearly meant to be a reference to the video that TGS Anime did to determine the statistical best protagonist across all the Yugioh spin-offs but Yugi didn't place last there, he placed fifth out of six which isn't a ton better but does prove that Kaiba was wrong. Also, humorously enough for as much flack as Jaden gets from Little Kuriboh he was still crowned the winner in that video.
Spent all day trying to get this past copyright so please forgive the image over the video.

It's not in companies' interest to change, so there will be no support for it
Little Kuriboh: puts months of effort into a video
React douchebags: huh, free content
Fun fact about that line regarding how Yugi has the worst win/loss record out of every main protag so far- It's wrong.
It's clearly meant to be a reference to the video that TGS Anime did to determine the statistical best protagonist across all the Yugioh spin-offs but Yugi didn't place last there, he placed fifth out of six which isn't a ton better but does prove that Kaiba was wrong. Also, humorously enough for as much flack as Jaden gets from Little Kuriboh he was still crowned the winner in that video.
I love this video, can I talk about Dwayne & Jazz? They don't talk alot in the end, that really really sucks, you're better
You put HER at the end of the vid, But you are showing proof but still eww lol
