Good to see you back! I have been testing the Full Amor engine this season, but I am having trouble with time, especially trying to get the combo off after my opponent has interrupted my Traptrix plays. I have been missing Utopic Lancer's immediate effectiveness in breaking boards and closing out games as well, but have been liking making Bagooska on my opponent's turn. I might switch back to Utopic Lancer, but keep the other parts of the engine, as I like Xyz Armor Fortress getting a S/T since occasionally I would not be able to bring out Utopic Lancer due to not being able to discard for it.
Lol, dont worry buddy. At the beginning, i also was pertty struggled with it, then get it abandoned, then get back after some inspiring videos of this variant. Traptrix is going well with many engines, this one might fit me, but other fit you 😬😬😬
@@TrapChrisYGO What are some of your favorite engines to run with traptrix besides full armor? I've seen one run dogmatika with diabellstar and it was interesting. Only problem was a lack of handtraps/boardbreakers since you'd need so many cards. I guess it isn't bad if you run at over 40 cards.
@@richardmartinez5109 I have tried many different engines with Traptrix, like Ragnaraika, Labrynth, Vernusylph lock (you can find it in my channel), Rikka Sunavalon (you can check the combo out in my very first videos) and of course full amored xyz is my favorite (and I will tell ya reasons why below). Some other engines going with Traptrix but I have never tried: H.A.T (Hand Artifact Traptrix), Dogmatika, Amazement, Paleozoic, even Melodious (Cool, right?)
and What is a good engine for a deck? to me, A good engine should match 3 criteria: 1. not occupying too many slots in both main deck and extra deck, the more spaces the engine cards take, the less consistency our deck is 2. Accessible with our main engine cards (Traptrix in this case) (you can see I always run the armored xyz line with Ping or Allomerous) 3. Acceptable or No restriction. Of course What a supportive engine can do for the main engine should be 1 of these 3 things below: 1. Boost the deck consistency 2. Boost the deck's ceiling (can create some other powerful bosses in which the pure one cannot bring them out) 3. Draw cards (Ragnaraika Butterfly, for example) OK, so let's get back to the Dogmatika engine. That's a light-attibute and ritual deck in which Dogmatika Punishment trap might be valued to Traptrix. But the problems are: 1. How to get them out from the deck with Traptrix cards? Hard draw is never a good idea. So if we want to really run this engine, we gotta put a lot of cards in the main deck so that we can "LUCKY DRAW" the engine cards. So we won't have enough spaces for non-engine cards like staple cards and board breakers (as you said), and of course very low consistency (bricky hands mostly, eww). That's why I dont run the Labrynth engine anymore coz I cannot take them out from the deck, not worth at all 2. Restriction, Dogmatika engine lock us from special summon from the extra deck, especially its trap dogmatika punishment locks us 2 even 2 turns. Imagine that we activate that trap in the opponent's turn, then Ho armored as my engine, my favorite one ^^

Love seeing these plays ❤
Haven't tried the xyz engine but I might give it a try
