ByThis is an overview of some of the "forgotten locos " we have had in Preservation over the last 20 years .
Some now scrapped after initial rescue for preservation , some parked up awaiting overhaul that may never happen, some undergoing overhaul and some now " stuffed and mounted ".
A compilation of 47 locos that have operated on Pres railways be it galas or on running days .

Nice set, 45060 is really shifting in the second to last clip! If this video teaches us anything, it's that preservation is fragile and nothing can be taken for granted. There are a lot of locos that I forgot about in there that at the time I just assumed would be running for years!

@@PeakBoy45143 That's why I did the compilation after thinking of locos that I hadnt filmed in years ...and yes Sherwood had been on full chat since leaving Bury ..only shutting off on the approach to Summer seat . I obviously can't speculate on the speed......

God theres a lot of "blasts from the past" there, I'd even forgotten about some of them, the battlefield line in particular is one that had a few years as one of the best galas going then seamed to fall off the tree altogether, same with the Llangollen, it's a pity that all the pres 56s have gone of course there's a chance that one of the Colas or DC cargo one might get saved here's hoping anyway, there does seam a few of the locos featured here have ended up a Burton they might escape one day, Top reminiscing sir
