- Are you looking for something extra to add to your piano chord progressions? Piano runs and fills are a great way to transform simple chord progressions. By learning a few chord patterns you can inject your playing with that “pro” sound.
If you are a beginner on piano, you will need to practice the piano runs and fills slowly at first, and then gradually speed them up. But the exercises in this video will allow you to get full control over the runs and fills. Once you’ve mastered them you’ll be able to easily incorporate them into your playing.
And even better, the piano exercises are great fun to play, and if you chop and change between them you can create some beautiful sounding improvisations.
0:00 Intro
0:59 The Basic Chord Progression
1:16 The Sus2 Fill
4:15 The Sus2 Run
7:03 The "4th" Fill
8:39 The "4th" Run
10:53 The Sus4 Run
13:06 Combining Them to Create Improvisations
