Couldn't have been a more fitting outro. My love for these folks, John Mayer, will live on forever. Even in new incarnations. Thank you everyone for sharing so much love.
I am in San Francisco airport waiting to go back home from this show! It was so fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing bc i can keep this weekend memory for life!
Perfect song to end it on. There are few more beautiful songs than Brokedown Palace especially when it’s sung soulfully. I’ll never forget the first time I heard them playing it in the early 80s. It was the love of my life’s favorite song too, who died in 2013, and she’d have freaking loved this band with John Mayer in it. She loved his solo stuff in the 2000s. I think it would’ve blown her mind seeing them link up and perform Dead music. It’s painful she wasn’t here to see & hear this (& them). We stopped following & paying attention to the Dead after Jerry died so this is a major blast from the past & it’s making me feel very nostalgic, not to mention a lil weird bc I’ve put my life back together, remarried, & dragged my self out of the soul crushing depression caused by losing my wife. Anyways, sorry for the TMI, I love you all & I freaking love the Grateful Dead! Rest easy Jerry Brent Keith Pigpen & last but not least Vince Welnick -who by the way I met in the 90s he couldn’t have been a sweeter man. I wish the Dead & Deadhead community treated him better than they did especially after Jerry died. The band kinda scr*wed him over when he needed them the most.
My son loved the dead and passed away in 2019. I cry every time I hear broke down palace. Played it at his funeral. Now I can't quit listening to them.
I was so lucky that I was able to cross the country to get to this show, the very last one. The band was absolutely on fire, especially in the first set. The crowd was equally energized. At the first notes of Bertha I raised my arms and started cheering. I turned around and two young ladies behind me were doing the same. We all smacked 10's and sang pretty much every song all night. Wherever I looked all night everybody was grinning and singing. I have never been around more positive energy. Truly 40,000 of my friends. I had guessed that Brokedown Palace was going to be an encore. That song always makes me misty, and especially so on Sunday. I turned and one of the women behind me was also in tears. I'm glad they finished with a more uplifting NFA... The 40 years of joy that this band has given me is beyond anything I can describe and certainly will not fade away. Thank you to everybody who made that possible. The experiences, the music, the lyrics, the people, have all made me a different, better person.
❤🎉 I was fortunate enough to attend all three shows I'll remember that for the rest of my life first time I saw them 9 years old for free in Golden Gate Park with my father who's gone now great to see their last three shows Rock on the dead will live forever❤
I cried so many times on this last tour. From LA to NY to Saratoga, fenway, the gorge, and San Fran....so many tears but so much joy. Watching my mom, brother, 5 year old daughter, and 14 year old son dance to "Going Down the Road" is a moment I will never forget. Holding cans of Liquid Death 😂
My family was there for all three nights. We all agreed not fade away was a awesome choice of a outro. Every dead head we passed by on our bikes while heading home was singing "know my loving not fade away" for 3 hours straight 😆

I can’t listen to this without crying. These three shows were very emotional… I love all you freaks.

So sad but so beautiful
What a great last show. :)
Does Brokedown Palace make anyone else cry not matter when or where?

Being in that crowd for 3 nights was beautiful. Brokedown Palace really set it in stone for me that this was it. Totally didn't shed a few tears 🥲
