What's up I'm RedFalcon and right now I'm playing Mario Party Superstars for the Nintendo Switch. I might play minigames against the Master CPUs, I might play boards against characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Rosalina, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi and more?! Is that all of them? We don't know yet! What we do know as that we can play Mario Party Superstars online on boards like Yoshi's Tropical Island, Peach's Birthday Cake, Space Land, Horror Land, and more! As bad as the regular gameplay is in 9 and 10, the minigames are actually what I would call some of the best in the series and I wish they had put more of them in Superstars
ikr! I feel history repeating itself with mario party superstars. There was a time (around mario party 7) when fans were getting tired of the same old mario party gameplay and wanted something new, but when something new did arrive people demanded a return to form. Now nintendo is pretty much ignoring the more recent entries in the series and relying almost 100 percent on nostalgia from long time players with boards from the first three games alone. Not to say that the boards and minigames from early on arent fun, but the minigames in this video looked really fun, and its sad to see them neglected. And at some point, I think fans are gonna want something new again, because I can see the same old gameplay getting very stale.
@@VR-oy1sc oh yeah, I definitely feel that overlooked feeling as someone who's favorite Mario Party is the DS one. The changes they made for 9 and 10 were extremely bad, but the minigames are great but they get overlooked for the old stuff. Superstars could have been fine if they brought back more than one, maybe two good boards and since there weren't any boards from the later games coming back, focused more on minigames from those, but instead they didn't even try and do that. Like 8 had one minigame. That's absurd
@@VR-oy1sc the bowser ones are fun but once you get good as bowser they are either just rng or too easy (i main Mario party 10 bowser)
@@VR-oy1sc I'd love to see something different, just as long as it doesn't destroy the strategy part of it. 9/10 lost a lot of strategy because everyone shared board position. One idea I have on how to mix it up is to change the star so instead of having a moving star position, you have to get 5 star bits from around the board that you combine into a star. That would add more strategy to how you traverse the board and make it less luck based.

There are achievements in MP10 for mini games. Like the rainbow memory mini game, if all 4 complete the circle of enemies, you get an achievement.

You had every right to ignore Mario Party 10 after seeing how they handled the board compared to Mario Party 9. Just a lot of little things they decided to change that really messed it up in my opinion. Still glad you gave it a chance though, the minigames are pretty iconic. Maybe try Mario Party 8, if you haven't yet? The boards are great and the minigames are some of my favorite.

Wow that’s cool I played that game again as I heard basically all 5 or 6 turns comes a mini game then 4 turns then Minigame I set 1 CPU to master I played the ship course.
If there’s something I learned about some of the more recent Mario Party games is that the games are based off a Mario platformer title
MP9: NSMB Wii
MPIT: Super Mario 3D Land
MP10: NSMB U
MPSR: Super Mario 3D World
SMP: NSMB U and/or 3D World
MPSS (due to more being based off traditional Mario Party) doesn’t have a set platformer as it’s theme

What no one understands, is that that my favorite Mario party gamemode is Bowser party because I have no friends or siblings and it's the only Mario Party you can buy me without seeming like a jerk for reminding me of this.

& Mario Party is my jam! I am not a huge fan of playing on the Wii though. I wish they had those Mario Party's available on the switch. I'm so much better with a controller lol.

it infuriates me so much that the concept behind everyone traveling together iirc is that typically in mario party you just kinda zone out when it isn't your turn cause it doesn't affect you, but sharing a car means other people's turns DO affect you
first of all, if you're being strategic about the game you absolutely pay attention during other people's turns cause you probably wanna know if someone's about to snatch the star or something, let alone watching the other turns cause it's fun
second of all, everyone being in the same car actively makes it LESS engaging. the only way other turns affect you is determining where your starting position is, so not only do you just roll the dice when it's your turn but it totally neuters being able to use any kind of independent strategy
rant aside these minigames are sick and I'm absolutely impressed that you know the names of all the goomba types. the only non-goomba I even know is the galoomba and that's cause simpleflips always wants to see the triple galoomba stack in mario maker TWO

bro I've actually got an idea for a new Mario party mini game for maybe, Mario party 11 or Super Mario party 2. Snake Block Cake Walk. You Aim for cake blocks and you have to reach them by choosing which snake block to go on. The correct answer will appear on screen for half a second and you have to remember which one it is. You need to be the first to get through 5 snake blocks in order to win. Falling in the void makes you lose 2 coins.When winning you get a treasure chest which is worth 15 coins.
