- Written by King and Jerry Leiber/Mike Stoller. First recorded and released by Ben E. KIng in 1961. Also recorded by John Lennon in 1975. For making my backing track I was inspired by the original version but I added some drums in it. Everything is played and recorded in my Home Recording Studio ChinChan.

Well, Eric -- the Capt informed me that I've got my "Kings" confused. So to set the record straight...Ben E King is the singer of this song, and the person who had the hit recording. B.B.King and "Lucille" (his name for his guitar) is a different person--a blues guitar player extraordinaire who had the club / bar in Memphis, Tenn. I am certain YOU already knew this difference, but I apparently did not...now I do. Sorry for the misinfo. Hopefully, it caused no one grief....except me. So sorry...Martha
