Therion started as blitzkrieg in the 1987 time. In the years past the founder of the band moved it to the symphonic metal genre. They've had a steady stream of albums since then and have not kept a consistent lineup. They're most recent album is leviathan about a year ago maybe. It's definitely worth it to listen to more because it's quite the journey that they went on and they're still continuing to do.
THERION (Sweden) = Best music in the world. EPICA (Netherlands) = 2nd. HAGGARD (Germany) = 3rd. PENUMBRA (France) = 4th. NIGHTWISH (Finland) = 5th... Other great bands: Xandria (with Dianne von Giesbergen), Imperial Age, Sirenia, Within Temptation, Delain, Nostra Morte, Diabulus in Musica... But THERION always at the top, of course... You should react to "To Megatherion" (first symphonic metal hit), "Crowning of Atlantis", "Via Nocturna" (metal goes classical), ""Blood of Kingu", "Adulruna Rediviva", "Land of Canaan", "Burning the Palace" (from their 3 hours metal opera Beloved Antichrist), and later continue, hehe. I have 104 songs in my playlist... Greetings from Spain
Therion is one category of their own, great songs,too much discography and continue to be great,new album in September of 2022 will come. Their themes are from mythology mostly, nothing to do with vimpires. Great solos and songs in many different languages,even in ancient Arcadia language. Look for the siren of the woods dude, it's an amazing song, but i love all,no bad song in their discography. So you can chose from live gothic and celebrators of becoming.
Therion in the beginning were more Death Metal. Transitioned into Symphonic metal over the years. They're not bad. I do enjoy listening to them from time to time.
Hi Do you remember Flapjack Reborn I think you liked it so much. Good news - all the cd's are available on Spotify. The guys have resumed activity and concerts are just underway in honor of Guzik - Flapjack singer who died in 2021. All I am seeing with the song title is GNIP GNOP, the old table top game from the 70's...manufactured by Parker Brothers, I believe. I give props for the mad skills but otherwise I will be redeeming a Polite Pass.... Your hearty, all-live, non-edited sneeze was the highlight for me....
