Beautiful collection of books! I love the library layout you put together, as you can display your books and easily organize and access them. Comic boxes are tough to access once they're stacked up. Congrats on an amazing collection!

Librarian and archivist here - You REALLY should use the Brodart jacket covers to protect those book jackets - current printing technology doesn't use light-fast inks and those jackets can help prevent color fading!!
Big thumbs up for the Peanuts Collection. Also good to see you not using the bottom shelves where you can help it - good strategy in case there is ever a water leak
I want my NO PRIZE, Omar! - Deathstroke Omnis are swapped (The New 52 should be before Rebirth, of course). - The Green Lantern Corps trades before the New 52 are also wrong (Tales of the Sinestro Corps should be right before Ring Quest, and War of the Green Lanterns Aftermath should be the last book there.) - Mike Mignola's books are placed weirdly. Abe Sapien and Witchfinder should be along the rest of the Hellboy Universe, Baltimore and Joe Golem should be together, and they're not part of Hellboy's universe at all.

Amazing stuff. One problem with collecting is eventually running out of space. You must have adamantium reinforced bookshelves. I have an entire room full of my omnibus collection and I legitimately have to worry about the floorboards collapsing. Moving home also be a logistical impossibility for me now. Don't know how you manage this many- but respect from a fellow completist.
Nice to see you have a dedicated 2000 AD section now ;) That Dredd section sure has grown. (You need to get The Out HC! No 2000 AD collection is complete without it.) It was also fun to spot various books I’ve bought specifically because of this channel, a couple of highlights being Upgrade Soul (wonderful writing) and Golden Age, which I think are the most beautiful graphic novels I own. My book collection is about eighty percent the size of Omar's, but only half of my collection consists of graphic novels, with my favorites being Batman, Green Arrow, EC, Turok, Adam Strange, Doom Patrol, Fantastic Four, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Love And Rockets, Coyote, Scout, and Echo. The rest consists mainly of books on Native American cultures, 1960s American history, music, poetry, and owls. I also have several thousand CDs and DVDs and several hundred action figures.
Wow! That Spectacular Spider-Man Omnibus vol 1 looks really skinny in this video. I’m glad I have my MMWs! I think there were a lot of complaints about the paper on that one.
@@NearMintCondition Yeah. I’ll be getting The Thing after the first of the year. I have avoided most of the thin paper omnis except for Silver Age Thor vol 1 and Hulk vol 1. All the other ones I either had already in omni form or I had the material in other formats. I remember when Absolute Carnage came out people complained about the paper on that one. I think that was the first Imak one. Looking back now, that one had pretty good paper.
Yo, your collection is amazing! I work at 2 comic book shops in Delaware. You've inspired me to make a comic book library of my own. I'm working on collecting trades. Mainly paperbacks tho. Hey Omar! Awesome vid and collection as expected but I've wondered something, my keen eye spotted the original years Predator Marvel Omni on your shelf but it hasn't been released yet has it?
Amazing collection. I love how you organize them and your library area. Spines are so important to the look on the shelves, I hate how marvel switched up the spine style on the silver age omnibus'. It bums be out seeing it in my collection. It is even more prominent in your collection. Had to drop omni collecting for the epics.
Hour and a half video. This is going to be so epic😍. Not a bad size, could be bigger though😉 what are you doing, buying every comic as a record in case of nuclear war or something😂🙂 I Have about 200-300 collected editions so far and 6 omnibus. Pales in comparison but trying to focus on a select few lines/characters and work my way up on my limited budget. 2023 goal is to branch out of the big 2 more and find my whale MOKF omnibus 4 for a decent price😬
Absolute Transmetropolitan vol. 3 is my most-wanted book for a reprint. It's my favorite series of all time...but I'm simply not paying the insane aftermarket prices to get that final volume. 💀
I might be weird but I prefer the spine of a slipcase pointed out as opposed to the spine of the book. I have it in my head that somehow this protects the book, but it's probably just an irrational thought. As for the main reason, if it's a book series then the slipcase out makes it feel like a larger story. I can see the totality of the thing and then when I take it off the shelf I can see the individual components of it. I don't have many slipcases, but one of the ones I do have is the Greg Capullo/Scott Snyder slipcases faced slipcase spine out.
My god… I’ve been drooling for the entire hour and a half. Curious (and forgive me if you’ve covered it)… but how long have you been building this collection… have you read everything? Do you typically pay full cover price for these? I thought my 100+ trades and hardcovers was a lot.. this absolutely blows it away!
