A very humble request brother, when you don’t know the history then please don’t spread false information. @ 2.36 you said Peshawar per 200 saal Sikho nay hukomat (Rule) kia hai. Aur Peshawar kay logon nay Sikhoon kay khilaf larai nahi ki Aur Pir Rokhan nay Sikho sey Azad keraya. Aur Khalil , Mohmand and Arbab family kay hawaley kia. This is total misleading, false information and misinterpretation and distortion of history.
Let me clear your concept. So, when you sit with some educated people, and you utter these words, they will make fun of you. Pir Rokhan nay Mughal King Akbar kay Khilaf muzhimat kii thi Sikhoon kay khilaf kabhi nahi.
Pir Roshan was born in 1525. A.D. Where Emperor Akbar the Great’s grand Father Emperor Zaheer U Din Babar won fight against Ibrahim Lodhi Last Sultan of Hind in 1526 at Panipat.
1526 was the year when Mughals started ruling Indian. After Baber died in 1530 and His Son Hamayun was on and off of Throne till 1539 when he was defeated by Sher Shah Suri.
(Sher Shah - Farid Khan of Sasaram Bihar-Bengal. He was born in Bihar and died in battle of Kalinger in 1545 and buried in Sursaram Bihar -Bangal).
Next 10 years rule was passed into family and 1555 Hamayun got his rule established by defeating Sikander Shah in Battle of Sirhind. 1556 Hamyun passed away and Akbar the great become Emperor of India from 1556 till his death in 1605.
Pir Roshan was a religious leader and Sufi religious teacher and writer. Some Pashtoon tribes already started rebellion against Mughals, main resistance was from Afridis of Tirah and Khyber, they were not paying taxes to Mughals.
Pir Roshan was religious pious man, and he was spreading his religious education all over the places from Kaniguram (Waziristan) to Kurram to Paktia, to Nangahar, Peshawar and Yousafzais of Mardan, Swat and Buner etc
After Akbar started Deen e Ilahi he (Pir Roshan ) stood against him (Akbar) and started gathering Pashtuns , Afridis of Tirah and Khyber , Yousafzais of Mardan, Swabi and Buner etc basically most Pashtuns of Lower Pakhtunkhwa started uprising from Waziri lands (Waziristan, to Khyber till Attock, from Swabi Mardan till Buner and Swat and Mohamand and Bajuris they stood with Pir Roshan and main battles were fought in (Khyber, Swabi, Mardan Buner ) lashkars from Swat and Buner joined in Swabi. Kalu Khan defeated Mughals - Kalu Khan was inspired from Gaju Khan Yousafzai of Mardan who also fought against early time of Akbar.
Emperor Akbar close friend and main Advisor “Birbal” also got killed in 1586 fight against Kallu Khan in Karakar pass near Buner with huge man loss.
Upper Pashtuns of Paktia, Pakitika, till Nangarhar to Kabul were allies of Akbar and his Army also consisted of Afghan Sardars who were controlling their people.
Pashtuns from Lower areas mainly started rebellion, Later Khushal Khan Khattak also started fight against Auranzaib Alamgir and Mughals. He (Khushal Khan ) tried to unite Pashtuns against Mughals but failed , Khushal Khan own Son Behram Khan become ally of Mughal and was trying to kill his father , K.K fled from Akora Khattak and got Refuge in Tirah. Later Khushal Khan Khattak got killed in Tirah. (This is history, and we must accept it with open hearts).
Sikh Religion started with Baba Guru Nanak Dev ji (born 1469 and passed away 1539) and later his disciples extended his religious education and spread religion. He has 10 Gurus and the last Guru is Guru Garant Sahib. Sikh only ruled Peshawar from 1818.
Peshawar and Sikh Rule. Under Maharaja Ranjit Singh and his Generals Hari Singh Nalwa, Mahan Singh and many others started conquering whole Punjab, till Kashmir and Jammu, Ladakh,Himachal Pardesh, Haryana, Gilgit Baltistan, till Tibet, from Multan till Peshawar (1818 till 1834) and Bannu till DI Khan . Sikh Expansion was stopped at Battle of Jamrud when Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa got killed in Jamrud battle with Afridis, (Hari Singh was the most Powerful general of Maharaja Ranjit Singh-His Samadhi is at Jamrud fort)
Note :1- Pir Roshan was Killed (Martyred) in Taopi Swabi in 1585 fight against Mughals-
Sikh Captured Peshawar 1818A. D. (After 233 years of Pir Roshan death)
2- Pir Roshan Never handed over Peshawar to Arbabs, Khalil or Mohmands . To make it clear, Khalil are Mohmands and Arbabs of Peshawar are Khalil Mohmands. Khalil Mohmand elder is Arbab. Arbab Jahangir was this tribe elder now his Son Arbab Alamgir is elder. Arbabs of Peshawar are scattered in Tehkal Arbabs, Landi Arbabs, Kankola Arbabs and Gul bela Arbabs. Arbab Noor Muhammad was also Elder of Arbab clan and Khalil Muhmands of Mera Kichori.
: 3- Sikh never ruled Peshawar for 200 years they ruled for 1818 till 1849 but mainly their appointed generals ruled Gen. Moorcroft from 1818 and 1834 Sikh annexed Peshawar and handed over to an Italian Gen Paolo Avitabile who was really cruel to Peshawari people -
1835 Afghani Amir Dost Muhammad tried to capture Peshawar but was defeated by Sikhs at Jamrud, 1837 he tried again and failed so Amir Dost Muhammad forces went back to Jalalabad and never tried again.
After Ranjit Singh died, East India company found an opportunity and abandoned Sikh rule. After the Anglo-Sikh war of 1849 Peshawar came under British rule.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh youngest son Maharaja Daleep Singh was 11 at that time, he was deposed of throne and sent to England in exile at the age of 15. He was the only son of Maharani Jind Kaur (Favourite wife of Maharaja Ranjit Singh) Maharani Jind Kaur was also sent to England in 1861, and she passed away in exile in 1863.
Mharaja Dilip Singh tried to come back to India but was caught on ship and returned from France. He had 3 Sons and 3 Daughters, and all of them were converted to Christians. Out of 6 Children of Dilip Singh no one has children.
Mharaja Dilip Singh 3rd Child was his Daughter Princess Bamba Sofia Jindaa born in 1869. She moved to India in the 1910s and married a Principle of King Edward Medical college, Prof. Dr David Waters Sutherland. After partition, Princess Bamba Sofia Jindaa opt for Pakistan (opt for Lahore-Once the Throne of her grandfather) She continued living in Lahore until her last breath. The last offspring of Sikh empire passed away in Lahore in 1957.Pricess Bamba Sofia Sutherland grave is in Lahore Christian graveyard (Gora Kabristan).
