Taxi was one of the only shows that went immediately into nightly re-runs following it's original airing. I remember thinking it was great because I could then watch it five times a week instead of just once.
the issues this show like other shows of that era have touched and the feeling in it's deliverance through its characters is something truly missed by me. old school forever
This show had so many great characters, the assistant dispatcher character, (Jeff Bennett, aka J. Alan Thomas) who was really funny in his interactions with Louie, is barely remembered. Entire episodes could have been produced, just around his character.
Latka is my favorite on Taxi, personally, I think foreign accents ar very sexy...I would date him ♥️ Even though the accent is fake, still very sexy...
which episode was it where the girl broke up with bobby,and told him the only way she could ever respect him is if she never saw himagain ?,lol ive been looking for it
Ah, the '70s. Women's lib was just getting started because this lady was perfectly polite and clear about her intentions, but she got called Miss High and mighty anyway. For those of you who make fun of today's calls for respect for women. Don't ever forget how hard we have had to fight to come just a few inches forward for basic human rights
