Thanks, this video helped met a lot for this repair on my Peugeot 106! I needed something much ticker than a nail and used a short flat head screwdriver.
you can get to the closer and remove it just by taking the speaker out it saves dismantling the door panel and breaking the tabs that hold it on and its a lot quicker,been their and done it,
All is clear, thanks ! But WHY you detach the door interior panel ? As I saw, all the operations were made through the loudspeaker hole, which releases after it was detach. No need to remove the door panel at all just remove speaker and put your hand in there to remove and remove the complete unit after undoing 2 screws and 2 nuts from the door near the hinge simple by the way the restricter arms are different lengths for front and rear doors
thanks for the video again it was really helpful. I have just bought a new one off Ebay for £24. I was thinking perhaps its possible to remove the old one by just taking out the door speaker,and getting in through there ? will find out when it arrives.. thanks Conan

Good video. but one question ! Why do you remove door card ? "swing stop" easily take off throw the hole behind door speaker ! You need screw out two opposite crew and pull out hole element throw the hole behind the door speaker

Yes you can remove the old one, it is held by 2 nuts and bolts, visible at 0:52.

The bolts on the chassis are T40

what are u using the Software to edit your video ? are u using sony vegas or adobe priemere or other ?
Most of the time I use Sony Vegas Pro, and rarely Premiere Pro.

Why did you remove the door upholstery if you did the repair through the speaker hole?
Maybe I though I will have easier access to the inside of the door :)
The passenger door making that noise is also wrong, it needs greasing, there should not be an audiable snapping noise.
Probably it is worn out...

On this car, one side of the swing stop mechanism was not in its original place, it was inside the door, visible at 5:49. (it's a second-hand car)
