    We have tried to make this as complete a ship tour as we could. We didn't film in the kid's clubs for privacy reasons.

      Hi Patricia. She is a very nice ship and we enjoyed our cruise. We have a few booked up to take us through to Easter next year but will definitely be looking to get back on the Encounter around June or July next year. Anyway, have a fantastic cruise and enjoy everything the Encounter has to offer.

    Thank you Rob and Ali for your wonderful videos. It is so nice to have some dedicated vloggers in Australia. You are a lovely couple so very easy to watch and listen to. I have been on two cruises this year. To Moreton Island on Explorer and Eden/Newcastle on Coral. I watched your Coral vlogs as that was my first time on Princess. I am looking forward to flying to Brisbane in November for the Quantum of the Seas short cruise. Lots more planned for next year Ovation, Quantum and Celebrity in 24. I look forward to more of your videos and maybe hope to see you on board one day.

      Hi Sharon. Thank you so much for your kind comments and support. Sounds like you have a few planned like us. Coral was our first time on Princess too and we enjoyed it very much. We are not on the Quantum until December for New Year's Eve cruise but we have a few friends that are going in November so looking forward to hearing all about it and what we need to put into that series of videos from them. We are on the inaugural sailing of the Carnival Luminosa on 6th November which we are looking forward to and then something a bit different for us, in February, we're flying to Melbourne for a short cruise to Tasmania on the Cunard Queen Elizabeth. With all these cruises planned you never know who you're going to meet and when. We do love bumping into people on the cruises and having a chat face to face. Have a fantastic time on Quantum and please let us know if there is something that you think we really need to put in the videos.

    hi guys :) awesome video :) this ship looks exactly like the adventure, same layout, furniture etc. its lovely :) the only difference i can see so far is the box office, which was in the casino on the adventure..... where you were on the front of the ship, above the bridge, we took photos up there, we couldnt breathe it was so super windy and cold hehe i felt like i was going to be blown over the edge lol

      Hi Lynette. You meet the best people on board. We met some people on the Coral Princess in June and today we're doing the Brisbane Alice in Wonderland hunt with them. Also going on the Quantum of the Seas with them and some other people we met on the same cruise for New Year 2022. We really enjoyed the Encounter and will be looking for an opportunity to go on her again. Ali's Dad is 90 next year and will be coming to Australia again. He wants to go on a cruise for his birthday so we will definitely be looking what the Encounter has to offer.

    1:46 Charlies Bar

      @@robandalicruisetravel Once you enter all of the information (time codes) into the description of your video, save it and the timeline on the video should then show the segments for each new time code that you created. It might take a moment or two but it should eventually show up. If you need a visual reference, check out the “Rain” music video (here on my channel) which I filmed for Dragon while they were on tour here a couple of months back. I put time codes onto that video by placing all the time codes I wanted into the description of that video. Hope that helps.

    Your videos are really informative and I was surprised at how much extra stuff you have to pay for with P&O, I suppose you need to weigh it all up as to whether you need to indulge in these paid extras lol . We have always found the food quality good enough in the restaurants that supply the free food if you will lol. The gymnasium looks to be quite good as well was that a paid extra or is it part of the fare .?

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike. Thanks again for the kind comments. Absolutely with you on that. It's sort of swings and roundabouts though. We are usually happy with the Pantry for lunch so don't really need the extra pizzas and burgers and having the Italian and Asian included at no cost gave the extra options for the evening. We didn't actually use the gym (probably should have) but it's not as a cost on the Spa menu where it is located and there were a few people coming and going so I suspect it's included. Sure they used to be on P&O. We'll try to find out and let you know.

We are booked on The Melbourne Cup Cruise, 28th October, unfortunately they (P&O) are not having the Drinks package for this cruise (only water and soft drinks). Hi guys. Great video. Just a few questions. What did you use to film with? Whats the go with masks? do we take our own and where do you need to wear them. We are going on the Encounter on the 5th Nov with our daughter who is in a wheelchair. Really looking forward to it and your videos are very helpful. Thank you.

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Drew. Thanks for dropping by and for your support. We use GoPros (8 & 9) but it isn't good in low light so we're starting to use the iPhone 11 for the darker area with a gimbal for stability. We have ordered a gimbal for the GoPro though and will be trying that without the stabilisation on as that causes blurring. Also considering getting the GoPro 11 as that has a slightly larger sensor and is supposed to be a bit better in lower light conditions. Trial and error.
      As for the masks, we take our own but the do provide them ion the cabin on arrival and at the entrance to the restaurants. On our cruise you needed to wear them in all inside public areas except when seated and eating/drinking (bars and restaurants) and in other areas where you can't social distance. Having said that, from this weekend, it seems that the mask protocols are being dropped on some ships and are now only recommended rather than mandatory. We'll watch this space on that one as they may stop providing them.
      Accessibility is something we have been talking about just this last week and it is something that we think we should show more of on future videos. We are on the Carnival Luminosa the day after you on 6th Nov so we will look at things like wheelchair access on that cruise. Sorry we didn't really comment on it on the Endeavour.
      Have a fabulous cruise, the Encounter is a fantastic ship and we can't wait to cruise on her again.

    my mum abd fiance loved the ice cream on the adventure :) mum especially as it was really hard. i didnt try it. we did have pizza from gradi pronti and nutella calonze late at night :) it was nice :) although not many toppings on the hawaiin one and very cheesy, but was nice :) but i had the double cheeeburger at lukes burgers, sadly it was one of the worst hamburgers i have ever eaten, it almost made me sick..... nothing but meat cheese and lettuce, with no sauce. def was my worst food on the cruise

      Hi Deb. Agree, the New Zealand ice cream was amazing and the pizzas were good. As we said in our Luke's Burger video though, the burgers were a little under par for a Luke's establishment. We're back on the Encounter in June so we'll try them again to see if they are any different.

If you're not particularly bothered about it saying P&O you can probably get one cheaper on land or Shana on facebook makes customised ones for $8 each, no minimum quantity. They're great if there are a few of you and you're celebrating something.

      Hi Deb. We can only imagine what it will be like during the Summer holidays. We're in 2 minds about slides as they are not really in keeping with the style of the ship but there is plenty of space on Deck 11 for them to make some water areas for the kids, which would be good.
