    I wish there were upgrades for this thing. Would be sweet to have brass lower wheel things and bearings. Also a different drive wheel that could accept the metal tracks without ruining them. Would be cool to see some new videos of this thing 😁

      Yeah I wish they made metal gears also. You know what I was thinking of running one like two days ago maybe I will get some video of me running one! Thanks for watching.

    For the springs I would use Fluid Film. Awesome tips! Most can apply for any RC!

    Taking the springs out after each use will be annoying, but maybe once in a while take them out and put them in some strong ruse remover, what about coating them with some water resistant coating?

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A coating may be good I used corrosion X on them.. maybe just paint them with a good primer? Thanks for looking.

      @@ShenRC I bought mine used off of a co-worker months ago, I see some surface rust on the metal, mainly the screws which doesn't really matter that much, but I also take it through water so the springs themselves are pretty rusty I bet.
      I will be getting some conformal coating to waterproof my electronics, so I will wait until then to soak the springs in the acetone, then after that put the coating on them as well. To hopefully remove the need for maintenance every use.

    I am thinking rubber tire patches for traction pads. You can even use an old inner tube and cut strips of the tube up and glue them on.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi that should work. 👍

      @@ShenRC I have the Kyosho blizzard and was told not to use the metal tracks as they are heavy. I am thinking the same would apply with the ripsaw. I see yours is rubber. Have you tried the metal ones? I just don't see how metal tracks would work that well on these. What do you think?

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scottfirman Hi I never use metal tracks they make your tanks get more stress on everything and you break stuff from it.. I never run metal tracks on anything...guy's used to run them in our tank battle club and they were always the ones with tanks broken down.

      Think cheap to start out! The initial cost of these is pretty good. Right out of the box they are good!

    Where does one get replacement rubber tracks? I can tell that’s one of the components that is going to eventually break.

    Steve do you think this RC will work on snow? Seems like the tread will be too narrow, maybe packed snow ⛄️

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi i think it will go on a couple inches of snow nothing deep unless it has that hard surface on it...see my community tab section on my YT home page I made paddle tracks and will have future HO TO videos on making them.👍

    Can u help me Steve? You seem very familiar with the tank... when I turn mine on, it gives 3 throttle forward blips! New, just conformal coated and xt60 with 2s lipo. What did I do??

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure.... one guess is you may have got some on the snap together connectors? try pulling any connectors of and put them back on and off a few times so they make contact if there was some coating in the connectors. Hope you get it working.

    what can i do when my track is broke ?

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      they sell new ones... you may be able to clean it up with rubbing alcohol if it's cracked and use super glue and glue it back together also. Thanks for watching.
