Amazing performance by Umi Ri Racing. I’m not shocked often but times like that in modified racing by “newer” racers is shocking. With laser wheels no less. Nice job.
Thanks so much. We have built a lot of flops over the last couple of years that we just played with at home. But since Kai has gotten old enough to really do almost of the work on his cars (no power tools yet aside from a dremel) it’s gotten really fun for us. Thanks for setting such a high bar for us try and chase down!
Great session Brandon, thanks for the production! I wish I was in a better place at the time to have entered. Well done to so many builders, some real cracking times! All the best in racing guys, should be a great show! Cheers Marc D
Lightyear here! This will be my first ever mail in event. Don't have a test track at home so I'm going off muscle memory from when I was younger. If I win a single race I'll be happy lol
Great qualifying and concourse! Was happy with my cars performance and top 4 in concourse too! Not too shabby. Congrats Umi Ri Kai on TQ. Will be a tough tight field. Good Luck all!
Some amazing times at the top, and a massive bunch in the 2.24 range that should make for some great racing. I tried to use what I had and not embarrass myself too much, but the FF is chattering all the way down from a wheel intermittently touching the track, and the Estoque turns way too hard into the rail. Not excuses, just sh*tty builds. Oh well, maybe next race I'll have things sorted a bit better. Good luck to everyone!
You have some great builds entered. I think you have a front wheel resonating a little on the Ferrari. Maybe trying a combination of graphite would help. I have found that Max V does a good job curing resonance.
As they say it is what it is. I spend 3/4 of my time and effort on tweaking and working to make road race cars that are fast and stable in corners and uneven sections. One quarter of my time on drag racing and it shows. I also know my final lubrication process is flawed - starting in the new year I’m going to change all that up. And keep on building - what else can you do.
@@ScaleRacingChannel the left front wheel isn't supposed to be touching the track and it does on occasion. I knew it would do it, hoping not, but I just had to get it out of my face.

Great show, Brandon! 🔥🔥🔥 I bet Kai didn’t get much sleep this night. Well deserved, phatt grats, young gun! 🤘🤘🤘 Congrats and good luck to all fast builders. This will be a tight one!
@cutrockr-diecastracing2773 had some luck for once, 12th is pretty cool considering who we're up against. Just need the Ferrari to find a faster gear 😂

Blazing fast builds. Of course we will see how they perform in traffic and find out who can stand the test of multiple runs….. Good luck!

Haha this is a great point! We had some problems with our threads in the posts and had to resort to kwikweld. We’ll see how they hold together.
@@UmiRiRacing Well done!

Glad to have you aboard! Use these results as a benchmark for future builds. Of course, having a test track is extremely helpful. Good luck!
Gonna come down to who gets faster as time goes on and which casting performs best in traffic
Exactly!
Great looking cars and blazing speeds. Nice!
Everyone has stepped up in speed in this one. Should make for some great head to head racing!
That -- was fast. 🍺😍🤩😎🍺
Nice builds, Numbskull!
Great builds and some really fast cars this looks to be a awesome tournament in another great scale racing production👍
Thanks Dennis! Looking forward to seeing how they do in traffic….
Great racing🏁. My two favorite castings. Have a great New Year.
Not your usual mod speed casting selections….
Tough field!! Congrats to the poll sitter as well!! Should be an interesting tournament!
It all of a sudden got a lot more interesting, eh?
It’s going to be a good one looks like
Should be a great race….
Hot Rods Lambo gets my vote
Thank you!!! I appreciate that!
Indeed, very nice paintwork on that one….
Loved it 🤘🏼

Great qualifying and concourse! Was happy with my cars performance and top 4 in concourse too! Not too shabby. Congrats Umi Ri Kai on TQ. Will be a tough tight field. Good Luck all!
My concourse pick would have been your Sesto, but hey, it’s all good. Good luck!
@ScaleRacingChannel thx Brandon, it is all good! Hope to make a few rounds.
Umi Ri-Kai, R-Lo, and Blueline set that course on fire! I thought R-Lo had the 2nd fastest time, but I didn't see listed.
Hard to believe, but R-Lo’s best time put him 23rd on the grid. We’ll see how he does in traffic!
Always love the intros!! So sick!
I love the Robotech wait screen!
lol, I picked the same winner for the concourse portion. The white wheels make it.
It’s not a custom paint job, but hey… it is a great looking car for sure!
This race is going to be tight!
So many cars fell in the 2.240’s on this one. The racing portion should have plenty of slo mo.

Did you hear the sound or lack there of of the TQ car? There’s only one explanation for a car being that quiet.

Thanks 👍
I dig it!

Very competitive field this time around. Any chance 2.230's cars crack the 20's? If so those top seeds got their work cut out for them
I would imagine most times will slow down when lined up head to head. Needless to say, it ought to produce some great racing!
Didn’t see my cars in the line up. They should be there by now
When did you ship them and do you have a tracking #?
