  • Creep Vs Fatigue
Creep is the slow and continuous deformation of a material under a constant stress, usually at high temperatures.
Fatigue is the progressive and localized damage of a material under cyclic or fluctuating stress, usually at low or moderate temperatures.
Definition of Creep: Creep is the slow, time- dependent deformation of a material under a constant load or stress
Definition of Fatigue : Fatigue is the failure of a material under cyclic loading, where the stress varies over time, even if the maximum stress is below the material's static strength.
Creep Example: A classic example of creep is the elongation of a metal under a constant load over time.
Fatigue Example: An example of fatigue is the failure of a metal component subjected to repeated loading and unloading cycles, such as a metal bridge or aircraft component.
